How do you know he would have sacrificed his own right arm to sign for us? Did you have regular right arm severing conversations with him? He's just turned us down for over 2 weeks and then gone a head and signed a new contract at Wigan on more money than a single one of our players earns yet I wouldn't put him in the top 5 players in our squad. If he was willing to do anything to sign for us he would have taken the wage cut. If you believe everything everyone tells you then I have no hope for you.
Why are people complaining? Yes losing out to Morsy was disappointing but let's move on. It's using the same policy as the one we've used for the last two years and you know, he may turn out to be quite good. Like those other central midfielders we signed on loan such as Ben Pearson or Josh Brownhill. They don't all work out but there's every chance this one may
You can't pluck a replacement central midfielder from north eastern relative youth obscurity and expect him to slot in and play effectively in our team. To the standard we've been showing. That's last season's trick. This is a big boy's league.
If this post wasn't so sad - then it would be laughable I just assume everyone and I mean everyone realises that the Barnsley coaching staff have put time and money into a player called Winnall - they have improved that player so he has become one if not the best goal scorers in the Championship - for that player to be allowed to just walk out of the door and join one of our fiercest rivals for next to NOWT - allowing that rival to get the benefits of our managers hard work. And all because the directors didn't produce a proper contract for that player. SURELY everybody on here realises and understands what's happened here.
Do you only read your own posts? Haven't you picked up on the fact that nothing short of tearing up the club's wages policy and paying Sam a wage that we can't afford, causing unrest in the squad, would have had any chance of keeping him? Can't you remember Patrick telling us that Sam and Conor didn't want to sign new contracts because they wanted to see what offers they would get when their contracts expired? Should we have kicked them out then? Haven't you read Don's explanation to Dyson of the Vaz Te situation - that he wouldn't kick another ball for us if we refused to sell him to West Ham? Don't you realise that the only way to have got Morsy to sign would have been to pay way over the going rate to compete with a team that's swilling in parachute money. I suggest you get one of your highly qualified employees to explain it to you in words of one syllable. You're getting boring Nudger.
The irony of you calling me sad is laughable, you don't know the fee, your clearly not take any external factors into account or listening to any of the sense people have tried to inform you of the last couple of days so I'm just going to ignore you.
Doesn't look promising according to their local paper. http://www.shieldsgazette.com/sport...out-loan-deal-for-midfield-prospect-1-8336469
We lost out on a greedy player who doesn't mind getting relegated as long as his nose is in the trough. Close escape imo
