How long do we want to be self sufficient for? We'e relied on PC for the last what 13 years? In that time, aside from purchase costs, how much has he had to under-write or write off? £10 million?
Bringing in good players on the cheap to improve is already running dry with Payne, Kpekawa, Lee and Moncur all still to really shine. We will never get promoted to the top flight with our current policy because if we have a successful settled side (like this season) it will just keep getting pulled apart.
Thats fair enough but it has to be controlled selling - one or 2 players per window - especially the January one - if we sell 3 or 4 players we will really struggle second half of the season. I am expecting Bree to move on so we cant afford to lose Roberts and or MacDonald as well
Im not sure where this has come from but he's really good mates with a mate of mine and I've just asked him about this when I saw the thread. He said Marc was never really interested in any of the local sides, he used to support Man United as a kid. By the sounds of things he was having you on good and proper tina.
We've all seen it coming but when reality hits home , that's when it really hurts . I think we also take Hecky for granted as well because he's a Barnsley lad . I cant see him putting up with this much longer . Like he said in the interview he feels flat and exhausted because he's having to do jobs at the club that he doesn't want to do . We must have the best scouting system in the country , but I tell you what , the directors of the club don't half even it out .
£5 million should be the point at which we entertain bids for any under contract player in todays Premier League world.
But do we really need to sell 3/4 of our players within the next ten days to secure our long term future? . Surely not .
No but we have to get best value and sell when players are at the top of form and value. We have all criticised that club did do that with Winnall and cannot do it with Houirane.
I can't decide whether to believe it or not until you explain how you know. There must be a reason. After all, you wouldn't just make it up would you?
I can understand than normally but surely the Stones , Mawson and Winnall money must give us the ability to turn some offers down . Would you really be happy to lose Davies , Macdonald , Roberts , Scowen , Hourihane , Watkins within the next ten days as long as we got decent value ?
No but I'm a fan not a board member. Plus it is very difficult to turn offers down when players could earn so much more than they do with us. Unsavoury but harsh reality. We tell Burnley to **** off and then Robbo has the tit on. Not good for morale at all. If they don't wat to be here then they have to go.
£6-£7 million Stones sell on £5-£6 million Mawson depending on appearances £700k plus for Winnall Just under 10,000 season ticket holders, biggest sales since free child ticket was introduced. Average attendance 13,697 with the average price of an adult match ticket so far this season £24.62. Possible Roberts £3.5m Bree £4m Gus £1.5m Kin'ell. They'll be painting the West Stand at this rate.
