and just looked on here for threads about Blackpool. Anyone know if these rumours have anything in them? Bree Looks to be the big one doesn't it. He's the one the bigger clubs are looking at. But then you have the smaller fish in the pond and good clubs are looking at these. Roberts, Hourihane and Macdonald I even notice something about. Have the rumours dropped off for the likes of Watkins and Scowen? I still think there might be interest for a couple more yet. ------------------------------ Think it's time the club come out with something and not just Heckingbottom with the straight bat defence. Gethin Jones isn't going to solve all our problems. This is starting to look like two disaster transfers in a row for Heckingbottom. He will have to take responsibility for the actions of the club. The summer was one that some area's were over stocked and others woefully under and this so far just looks like it's a everything must go sale. Let's not just get some in, let's get some quaility in, some class. We use up a loan spot on a player like Jones. Why not go the full way and go for class. Very strange. Anyway I said the other week it was going to get interesting, it certainly looks that way now.
Immense. Practically giving away our best striker in years - no problem. Losing the best midfielder in the championship and our two centre halves. Small fish, it's fine. Selling our third best fullback for £5m profit and replacing him with a premier league player. Unforgiveable. You are my hero. Will you be in redfearns on Saturday? I want to buy you a pint.
Whats two disaster transfers in a row about? Is Jones that bad? What's lacking in his game? Who's the other bad signing who was last one in? Moncur, Macdonald & Lee were early so guessing you mean Kpekawa, Yiadom or Payne
Why not just wait until February 1st and see what happens? We've not had any offers for any of our players so far. Allegedly.
Not sure what you mean by 2 disaster transfers in a row. Do you mean outgoing - Mawson and Winnall. In which case I would hardly have thought selling Mawson to a premiership side for £5million was a disaster, especially as MacDonald is showing signs of being just as capable Winnall wanted to leave - unfortunate but given your views on him I cant believe you think its a disaster As for incomings its far too soon to say Jones is a disaster, he hasnt even kicked a ball for us yet, or do you mean Jackson? I think he was the last player we signed - not been a world beater but far from a disaster in my view by the way as someone else pointed out a few days ago, Bree is the one player we really must sell this January. Out of contract in the summer and wont sign a new one. if it goes to a tribuneral we wont get anything like what he is really worth and no chance of add ons for future sales England caps etc. He will be at a Prem club next season regardless so we should be looking to cash in now if at all possible
It's the amount of ins and the quality of them. In the Summer No- Ball playing cb Left footed option other than white Centre mid lack of options. NEED a proper DM. The 3 we had weren't that. Replacement for Fletcher. That wasnt covered. And half way through the Jan window we STILL need them options plus another striker and another centre mid and that's without another player leaveing.
If all these things are wrong, why are we in one of the highest league positions in our ENTIRE history? Or doesn't our league position count? Stop being Neggy Nora and enjoy the ride.
Can always do better. Wigan and Burton away. Lack of tmoptions covered above cost us 4 points. Lack of that other option as cost us in other games too.
And despite all this we have won more games than we've lost and sit 10th ahead of two mouth-watering Yorkshire derbies. Woe is us.
Hes got to make it that. Linton Brown isn't a Transfer expert like mansford was. Hes the highest paid FOOTBALL man I would presume at the club
We're doing much better than we've done for most of the past 130 years. Can't you see that and enjoy it?
Kpekawa is left footed. Almeida is a DM but he got injured. We signed Armstrong and Bradshaw up top. Referring to Hourihane as a small fish is beyond disrespectful. He has been outstanding and by far our best player this season. Losing him would cost us a lot more points than losing Bree. That's no slight on Bree, I think he's developed into a great right back, but he has a tenth of the influence that Hourihane does.
First world problems made by drama llama's. Many people thought most of the squad weren't going to be good enough to stay up. Most thought half way was the limit. We've already exceeded that and have gone a long way to another championship season and more revenue. The squad has been a victim of its own success. We will probably sell one more, maybe two, but either way we're having a great spell. Will be reight.
Kpekawa centre back that can cover lb. Not like for like at all. Sessi was injured before the window shut. Bradshaw and Armstrong aren't like Fletcher at all.
