Gangs of wanna be hoolies roaming around, pubs jammed full of casuals already getting smashed. Police everywhere, going to be carnage later.
Debating to leave my kids at home instead of taking em today and not because they all Jimmy savilles love children. Just because I think it will be carnage after game.
I agree were never allowed to play the Sheffield teams at 3pm or later it's alway been a early kick off for years now at oakwell
Sky rules. Pheck law and order when there's profit to be made. Sent via Royal Mail and typed up by my Tapatalk byatch
Tbf you can't blame SKY for morons behaviour. Police to blame for not taking proper control of the situation. Only my opinion.
Would have kicked off if it was a 12.30 KO mate. Just stay behind to clap the lads at the end and take your time getting out and you'll be fine.
Problem is that police "taking proper control of the situation" generally translates to them treating everybody like criminals, which tends to exacerbate the problems (because if you treat people like criminals then, in general, more of them will start acting accordingly). The best way to deal with a situation is to identify the possibility of it occurring and take steps to make sure that doesn't happen. Which, for a game like this, means at the very least not giving people the chance to drink all day. It's sheer madness.
Sky have influenced the kick off time. If it wasn't on telly (Sky) it would have been a noon kick off. Sent via Royal Mail and typed up by my Tapatalk byatch
Yeah Sky have decided on KO time but you still cant really blame them. A noon KO would just mean the dafties would start drinking earlier. Dont need to be in a pub to get tanked up. Trouble makers will always find a way to cause trouble.
See what you are sayin pal but those types will always find time and ways to get drink into them. They'll do it no matter how hard you make it for them.
Sky may as well just have j channel dedicated to Leeds games they're on so much. The fascination with them is totally over the top and has been for years. Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk
Early kick off and it wouldn't have been anywhere near as worse. Folks would already be on there way home after the game. With the kick off time it means their fans arrive in Shakey Wakey or Leeds in time for a few pints and fry up breakfast. Then they can have a few more pints. Then buy from an off license to drink on the train to Barnsley. Then have a few hours drinking here and have a few inside the ground if necessary. Way more chances of disorder at this time and with thousands walking in the evening dark after an highly charged match to an area where drinkers will be that didn't go to the match.
Thanks 3000. I never really thought it through. Of course my excuse is that we in Scotland really do not have that problem. Crowds no big enough. No one to have an argument with. LOL
