I really hope that's wishfull thinking from forest fans rather than based on any inside information. He would be stupid to go there at the moment.
Just can't see it. Barnsley fan gets Barnsley job. Gets the club he supports promoted. Gets them upto within touching distance of a play-off spot. Well run club. To leave for a side who have been in steady decline for a few years, who don't have a pot to piss in and regularly have transfer embargoes hanging over them. Doesn't add up somehow. Of all the clubs Hecky could potentially leave for, Nottingham Forest would be one of the worst places he could go. Awful ownership, no money, transfer embargos, poor side, expectant fans, questionable freedom for managers, revolving door for managers, the list goes on and on. I think it would take a really excellent opportunity for Hecky to consider leaving us. But just because he's a Barnsley fan, lets not take it for granted that he will stay forever, he has a career to think about as well.
Well with his best players sold /being sold, having to do the chief exec's job as well as this own and apparently the club being caught out by the transfer window, I think there's a limit to how far the fact he's a Barnsley fan means he accepts the situation as it is. Forest = basket case tho Sent from the darkest recesses of a poisoned mind.
Agree with this. I think he has to think about move on if a good offer comes up. But Forest is a piss poor offer.
Bookmakers, they do it with every new manager book, slash someone they know won't get the job from 33/1 to 7/2/ or 4/1 so it looks like they've been taking bets on him, so mug punters think bloody hell somebody must know something here for him to come in so drastically so they stick a score on to get £100 back.
To reiterate my previous post, Hecky will never leave unless he is sacked. This is his dream job at his home town club with the best supporters in the league backing him. He will not go, trust me
stranger things have happened in football..... but I would be truly amazed and puzzled not least to say disappointed and let down if this became fact.
Re: stranger things have happened in football..... Everyone has a price and people also have dreams and ambitions; it would be naive to think Hecky will stay regardless, same with Conor. I love them both but nothing is guaranteed in football.
