So a number of Leeds fans end up in the home end...

It's just wishful thinking....the only serious business case to build is to accommodate more spectators .

 

This is what happened to a friend of mine who got caught up in it. She was trampled by fans attempting to get to the celebrating Leeds fans.

 

You could understand one or two slipping through the net, but not a group of them all sat together.

If it was reds fans that bought them tickets, it would have to be well organised.

I've sat in home/wrong ends several times.

Those around me quite quickly sussed I wasn't 'one of them' but as I wasn't being an arsehole I got left to my own devices.

The problem with Leeds fans is they are incapable of doing that. They all seem to have some pre ingrained mental condition that makes them want to be seen and heard.

If you want to sit in the home ends especially where the more vocal elements are found and make your mouth then don't be surprised if someone introduces you to Mr Fist.

Deserved all they got.

 

I warned about this before the game and got shot down by.... box office won't sell without history... it only seemed like a few not the 100s leeds were making out before the game

 

The fact is you sit in the wrong end at a football match them you are risking trouble and maybe getting a hiding. Now that's almost certainly wrong and a sad state of affairs. But it is the way it is.

 

Friend's nephew went to the game, about 7 years old. Asked to go home as soon as it all kicked off because he was scared.

Like it or not a sizable minority of our fanbase is scum. Granted there were Leeds fans in the wrong end on this occasion. But i've been to games where they're fighting amongst themselves. Waste of oxygen.

If I was a Leeds fan yesterday, sitting in our end, I wouldn't have been attacked, nor even sussed out. The reason being is I'd have kept a low profile, acted normal and whilst not actively supporting the other team, I'd have sensibly reacted in a way that would make me anonymous. Fans who sit in the wrong end do not get attacked just for being in the wrong end, they get attacked for jumping about celebrating and goading those around them. The two Leeds muppets in the East were fine until they started jumping about, running around etc.

 

Didn't take my 8 year old for this reason. She'd have been terrified especially on the walk back to the car.

 

I completely agree. I've been in the opposition end the odd time in the past and will be next Saturday. I'm the guest of an old school mate, who supports Rotherham. No doubt the old banter will resurface in the pub beforehand about who was the better - Macca or Big Stan. At the game though I will be reacting the same as everyone around me. I'll stand up if they score and stay sat down if we do.

 

Good grief, the poor lass!

 

She still managed to help me fold the flag up after the game, bless her. She'd no idea what she'd done until she got home and saw it. I think she was overflowing with adrenalin for some reason, so the pain kicked in later. Can't think why she was so "high".

 

The word painful springs to mind when looking at the photo. If it had been me, I'd still be crying now and feeling sorry for myself.
