I heard Heckingbottom fed the whole of the Ponty end yesterday with a tin of tuna and bread cake

More chance of me managing the scabs than Hecky.

I've heard Rod Stewart is quite interested in the vacancy there.

t one of the SKY pundits said Heckingbottom was in talks with another club or Barnsley had been approached during the Leeds game. I'm surprised no one posted unless I've missed it

At least we're not under imminent threat of administration, which it would appear they are. We've just mismanaged contracts, from what I can see. Badly.

I suspect you're not too far from the truth, we definitely need to buck up our ideas off the pitch but then we seem to have been saying that for a number of years now.

I don't like Tuna, so he gave me some mushy peas instead.

    Legend.

Seriously though, if the club don't realise our biggest asset is Hecky & he has the team sold from under him I would not be surprised if he walked.

    I can imagine

several circumstances under which he might go, say if one of the big clubs came in for him (I mean big not Deedar style "massive") but to Forest? A club in decline, no money, transfer embargoes, unrest with foreign owners etc? He would be mad to go there and he certainly isn't mad.

He's got a position here approaching sainthood and in with a chance of taking us to the playoffs and maybe even the PL (I'd fancy us against anyone at Wembley). More unlikely things have happened, one did to us last season for a start.....

i personally don't think 'he'll never leave'. he's a professional at the end of the day, and he'll want to test himself at the highest level. however, i very much doubt he'd entertain anything like forest. just way too unstable. got nothing to gain by going there really. $hit owners, $hit fans

Heckingbottom as now gone into clear favorite at 5/4 with most bookies.
These Bookies are no mug's most times they get it right money wise.

Means nothing. Only need to panic if he goes really short odds, 1/5 at least.

They are simply creating a 'false favourite' in Hecky, highly likely forests new manager is not even an option in the betting.

Like already been said I'll only panic if odds go 1/5 he hasn't even done a year here yet. I doubt he will go forest as soon as new owners take over they will change manager again.

I surprised no one came in for him after last seasons exploits. I was more concerned about losing him than some of the players.

When we've been looking for a new manager the favourites have never ended up with the job from my memory. There's always been people who we had absolutely no chance of getting at odds of 14/1 for example. Even a bet of £10 will shoot someone to favourite in these type of markets unless it was a top Prem club. Someone's probably told a mate he's heard it's Hecky as a laugh and his mate's stuck a tenner on. Seriously.

I'll be more amazed if he goes there than anything I've ever seen at Barnsley, including last season. Just won't happen.
