You could be right, but Jordan Rhodes might be one of them as well? I will say though, people keep talking about how much Conor and Bree are worth. As far as i'm aware, Villa are the only Club that's come in with proper bids. It's hardly been a bidding war for either of them, has it? The old adage. Players are only worth what Clubs are prepared to pay.. Hearing around £8m for the pair. If that's right, I reckon that's decent business to be fair.
I wish tw*tter and the transfer window would f**k off... All speculation as far as we know with Bruce and owner stirring the pot. If you notice in interviews most clubs show at least some integrity when asked about player transfers e.g. they may express interest but decline to discuss further as they are not their player. Very unprofessional. If one or both do leave and move to Aston Villa now rather than the end of the season I would hope we either get sell on clause or min £4m+ each player. Any less, and I hope that the club would stand firm and keep them until the end of the season.
Agree players are only worth what clubs are willing to pay, or what they are worth to the selling club. I hope we have rinsed villa, and got top whack. Find their owner cringy as ****, and the way the fans are worshipping him is embarrassing. This bloke has no idea about football, thinks they will be the top club in England in 10 years, and thinks you can just buy success. I would find it so nice if he turned out to be as corrupt and he's just using villa as a vehicle for laundering. Show some respect and don't announce transfers until they're complete. Think he is! Fulham after McCormack for £8m. Bloody annoyed that Hourihane is going to Villa. Understand it financially but for us to strengthen another play off contender is just annoying. Understand we can't turn down a (reported) £6m for the pair. But I bloody hope we got a lot more than that. Hopefully we can re-sign them when we go up and Villa are in admin.
Gutted to lose him but he's earnt it. Connors not daft and neither is Bree or his family. They see it as a good fit so we should respect that. £6 million is great business particularly if Bree has a sell on clause.
The guy is a certified nutcase so I'd take anything he says with a pinch of salt. But if it's true and they're paying us 8 million, I think I could live with that.
£8 million and within touching distance of the play offs, I don't know. I remember PC saying that Peterbro's large transfer fees weren't a sign of success because they were still stuck in the same division. We'll see what we bring in.
