I fluked a First last year. It's amazing what you get when you answer Indiana Jones to every question.
I'm already excited to see who we bring in. I think we will replace any that leave, and build on the foundations they have laid down. Conor will be by far the greatest loss. He has been a fantastic servant to this club. James Bree has a very bright future and it's great to see an academy lad get a break. I think we will be in or around the playoffs come end of season. Because these lads leave everything on the pitch. As one departs two or three more previously unknown players will come in and amaze us all. And so our journey will continue. Viva la revolución. Viva Hecky.
Whoever comes in will take time to bed in after all it didn't happen straight away with the current squad. I accept the philosophy of buy young keen and eager from lower leagues to nurture and mould with a view to selling on at a profit to maintain our existence and I don't complain when we do sell. I trust the club to get the best deal within the prevailing circumstances.
As I've said before I don't think anyone begrudges "better " clubs but "bigger" aka Wednesday and villa who will pay more wages and be in this division again next year seems silly. Hourihane could absolutely have had a pop at the prem next year and he's only got one more big move in him after this why blow it at a team that is an absolute mess? I also understand the pressure to sell winnall and hourihane but where's the pressure to sell bree and leave our already depleted squad even more lean?
I was very impressed with him last season so would certainly like to see him come to the club, but haven't seen much of the lad this campaign. Perhaps he has a buy out clause in his contract?
Very similar type of player to moncur. Not had a great season and according to blunts fans looked overweight and lazy against them on saturday. Also been talked up to silly money, I was an admirer but not so sure now. I suppose you got to see em playin week in week out to really have an idea though.
