Icelandic international Birkir Bjarnason having a medical before completing his transfer to Villa. They certainly like a midielder or 2.

Interesting that given their chairman kept quoting prospects of players signing at 99 plus 99 and 50

    Would mean Hourihane is 50/50

Hope hourhine stays until end of season **** the 3million if he does a premiership club will take him at end of season or celtic both better than villa. Think he will go villa though they just seem to be buying the league.

Maybe they need all these players in to help Ross McCormack get over his 4 foot six fence!!

Red Rum, you missed Jedinak, Gardner and Westwood off the list... Sign this Bjarnason as well as Hourihane and that makes 7 players fighting it out for 2 or 3 central midfield roles dependant on formation!

I rate Connor highly but is he really going to be regular first choice ahead of Jedinak, Grealish, Bjarnason, Lansbury and Westwood? Gardner perhaps as it appears that he is out favour. If I were him, I want to play. Consider the present scenario, if he stays he plays, he puts himself in the shop window to run down his contract as captain of a young side over achieving in the championship. As leagues second top scorers and main set piece taker his stats can only get better and better. Come summer I would expect most top end championship sides and lower premier league side will be expressing interest.

In my opinion he can do much better than an take first offer! An offer from a team in transition who have a very big squad. Sunderland, Swansea, Burnley, Brighton, Reading, dare I say Leeds and Sheffield Pig Wednesday would be better move in my opinion.

As I said somewhere else.....IF our pair go there, I dont expect either of them to play more than 50% of game time, they'll be squad players. Makes much more sense for them to wait until end of season, get a bigger move, bigger fee, bigger wage. Unless they really need that wage right now.

I think conor may be having 2nd thoughts hopefully adam talks him out of it be the big fish at oakwell instead of the small one at villa. Bree must have been told he will be playing regularly I know someone who sort of knows bree and called the transfer on here abit back. Man city were sniffing around bree but he didn't want the move as he wanted to be playing regular football and not u21s ect. He liked the idea of a loan back to oakwell I was told but looks like he has gone for villa.
