If people get concerned about the way the club is progressing or not? Why does this get perceived as negative?

Folk have a right to voice their concerns and it's not up to anyone else to tell them how they should view the situation. If people are worried we have lost our best player and he won't be adequately replaced they are perfectly entitled to that opinion.

The club really dunt need any self-appointed defenders or apologists. It's big enough and ugly enough to do that itself. If it even cares.

So f.ucking pack it in.

Correct Conan, we pay our hard earned so we are entitled to voice our concerns as far as I'm concerned.

I'm just thinking the same thing CT. It's like being concerned or a little deflated about the events of the last week is wrong and is to be frowned upon.

Spot on. Lose several of your core squad members, another asking to leave and I'm the bad guy for having the temerity to be extremely worried about it.

People see everything in black and white where most of us live in shades of grey it's both dull and causes antagonism where it's not necessary.

I have no concerns at the way Barnsley football club is been run

In fact it's quite the contrary. Two or three years ago we stated what our plan and strategy was. And to date it appearstk have worked to the letter

Well done to all concerned.

And there you have it. If anyone wasn't concerned previously, there's a sure sign they ought to be.

That sounds hard as **** Daz, but I know you aren't so its just more banging keys.

For what its worth, I don't mind people airing their views either way Conan Troutman, far from it. I prefer to reserve judgement until the end of the window, when we see where we are placed on the recruitment. Maybe if people didn't resort to adding *****s to posts and basically slagging everything the club is doing, by having a reasonable debate without so much aggression then it wouldn't feel as much.

I'm not surprised by the outgoings, disappointed I suppose but we move on, maybe to bigger and better things, we won't really know for a while yet.

Remember the players are the ones calling the shots, they are the ones making the moves, not the club. I do agree however that maybe the club could have taken more of gamble in trying to tie them down, but and its a big but, how do we know they havent offered them huge amounts more to stay but still a long way short of the 30k per week that CH has picked up.

I'm actually more worried by the lack of a CEO than these players leaving, the reason being we all knew they were off as soon as the window opened, it was evident weeks ago.

I'm confident we can still make progress on and off the field if we stick with it and back the club to do the necessary things to keep us moving forward.

Nothing wrong with being concerned or indifferent to situations at Oakwell.
We all have our differences of opinion and have a right to log them .
It's such as the numpties at Blackpool that were booing players and staff that I don't like.

There's clearly nothing wrong in asking questions about who might the replacements be, or wondering how it will effect the team etc. that's entirely reasonable and worthwhile discussion. It's people who behave like 12 year old teenage girls and turn everything into a drama where by the worst possible outcome is all but guaranteed when in fact the current situation is actually pretty damned good. Some then repeat themselves ad finitum whilst mixing the posts with unsubstantiated rumours as fact. It turns a snowball into an avalance of unnecessary proportions and it takes big Mr Heckingbottom to come over and tell them not to worry.

Administration and Peter Doyle were really dark days - this current time is one of the best ones. Enjoy it and stop worrying!

It's bitterly disappointing seeing the vultures picking off our players, but there's little we can do, as we all know. As someone posted yesterday, we received £3 million for promotion, Villa receive £60 million for being relegated.

And therein lies the problem we face, we just can't compete with the money that's being poured into the Premier League by Sky/BT, allowing absurd wage levels.

Consider that Winnall was probably earning more than the Prime Minister of our country whilst at Oakwell, never mind what he's on down the A61. That's how mad it's become.

The one thing giving me some cheer is Hecky's statement - Time for New Heroes!

I hope that Adan Hammill will also support his manager and give a rallying cry to the squad as he did before the Leeds game. He can speak from strength considering that he presumably rejected more money elsewhere to stay at Oakwell this season.

Are people slagging everything the club is doing though? I think most people accept we will lose players but some (and I include myself in this) are worried that we didn't have them on long enough contracts. We have heard that they wouldn't have signed new contracts and we have also heard we haven't offered them. No idea which is true.

Recruitment may not be over until next Wednesday but we have sold our star striker, midfield talisman and promising ever present full back for somewhere in the region of £8.5m. I'm yet to see evidence of (in)adequate replacements. Hence my concern.

And thats what I've said, if people debate their side of the issue they're on logically and without so much emotion then we tend to get on. I understand and empathise with people who are worried about the last few weeks, I feel some of that pain myself. I'm not so positive to just not think about it.

Your initial post was why people feel the need to get so defensive or aggressive and I was answering that point. I don't tend to agree with some of your posts and the negative feelings you profess on here, I understand them, but don't necessarily share the same view but I don't feel the need to type lots of swear words attacking them.

I'm of the mindset that club has options to go down in terms of recruitment and I'm happy to let them get on with them, I might feel different at the end of the window when we have no option and we've failed to recruit accordingly. My view is we should give the club that time to carry out their task, then I'll re evaluate. I'm not one for knee jerk emotional rhetoric when clearly I'm not in the know, and neither are 99.9% of the people that post on here.

For all we know, we might have some surprises in store, we might not. As far as I am aware we have 2 players missing on Saturday that beat Leeds comfortably, Bree according to some is easy to replace with a permutation of Yiadom (when he gets back) Jones and White, and then CH who is going to be a struggle to replace. Maybe James can fit the role of Morsy and Scowen can get forward more, maybe that might work well and we go on a 10 match winning run. We just dont know yet.

Correct. By the same token, there's no need for folks to start making it into a "Neggy Nora Vs Happy Clapper" debate. As if you have to tie your colours to one mast or the other. We all have BFC at heart.

It's something that this board has been well shut of for 12 months and we could do without it re-emerging.

But you must appreciate people will be concerned when we have sold three of our starting eleven which included our striker, best player for 16 years and our first choice RB with not a lot coming in. You'd have to be on a brain transplant list not to understand why people are concerned.
