Hourihane is one of the best midfielders in this league so Villa were forced to pay more for him and in Bree they paid for undoubted potential. Winnall is a good goalscorer in the right system but we didn't have the same aces to play when negotiating his sale so it was inevitable that he was going to go cheap.
If Roberts isn't Prem standard, then why do Swansea want to buy him? For a laugh? Whoever thought Winnall was only worth 700k even with little left on his contract wants to take a long hard look at themselves. Champ striker near the top of the goal scoring charts is worth a fortune, end of.
Why are you so disrespectful towards players that you don't like. The vast majority of Barnsley fans rate Roberts very highly.
This one post sums up everything that you are. A pathetic, ill informed, childish prat that, despite clearly not knowing anything about football coaching, or the workings and finances of a football club, choose to ram your repeated drivel down the throats of everyone on this board. Once again you have hijacked a thread to post your vitriol toward the new club captain. Wish you would just go watch another team. This club would be better off without you. Much better off.
And, yet, it was his good ball forward for Armstrong that split their defence when Armstring hit the bar. Again, I could not give a rats arse what Chelsea Under 23 coaches would do or would not do.
Because he constantly has to try to convince himself and everyone else that he's more knowledgeable about football than the rest of us.
Not it wasn't. You are wrong. Like you are about everything else you have written. You are wrong. Again.
You actually want him to fail? You would pay money in the hope of seeing any weaknesses exposed by another Club? Our captain, home town lad, developed from non-league into PL in 12 months, and this is what you have to say about him? Do you realise how utterly w&nk that sounds?
It rises to £25 if they win Champions League within 5 years Sent via Royal Mail and typed up by my Tapatalk byatch
Are these the same coaches that taught Alex Kiwomya to run very very fast very very far like Forrest Gump? If only they'd taught him to stop when he got to the end zone. 'Run Forrest, run'. Sent via Royal Mail and typed up by my Tapatalk byatch
Well said, Extremely Northern! We should most definitely not sell any more key players when we are only 1 point off a play-off spot, whatever the offer. Promotion is worth £100 million. If we'd kept Conor, I'd have fancied us quite strongly for a play-off spot. We still have a realistic hope now, but if Roberts goes, then, in my opinion, we have no hope at all.
I don't give a rat's backside if you think he's not good enough for Chelsea u23s. The rest of us know that he's good enough for us. For the team we support rather than constantly undermine. That he's good enough to anchor a defence that's seen us win a promotion, a cup, and compete at the top end of the Championship. All within 2 years of playing non league football. And, as has been pointed out, at least two premier league clubs have shown interest in him. Silly me though. I should remember that all their coaching staff don't know as much about football as you.
