    we beat Forest 2-1 at home in the Full Members Cup. Only 6692 were there. Were you one of them?

    What do you mean "only". That was a terrific attendance for the full members cup. Way above the average I would have thought.

    I meant it in the sense that it's 26 years on and the chances of anyone of that number (which includes Forest fans):

    a) having been at the match
    b) seen my post

    and

    c) can remember the match

    are quite slim.

    Ah, the Zenith Data Systems cup. Freezing night, not a bad game, Crossley in goal for Forest. Pitch covered in sand. I think we scored straight after Chettle equalised. Full strength Forest side inc Walker and Pearce who'd been at Italia 90. Was it Rammell who got our first?

    I went to an earlier round at West Brom where we won 5-3, Banks scored a hat-trick and the game was interrupted by a fox on the pitch.

    I was there, on a 'school neet' too. Think we got Villa at home in next round and lost one - nil, I think? Couple of years later, I discovered real ale and my memory's not been what it was since... I think.
