    We went to Sunderland in that cup on a Tuesday night.

    Lost on pens after drawing 1 all.

    20 odd reds fans. The Sunderland wags counted us in.

    We broke down on the way home, just as we had the previous Saturday on our way to Shrewsbury, getting there at half time.

    Went to the Everton match but my dad refused to go to the Forest game as it was freezing cold and he was really busy. I was well pissed off, especially as half our school supported Forest.

    Funny about you and the others mentioning the freezing weather as I have no recollection of it being cold, mindsthi I was 15 at the time and you don't feel it at that age☺, Everton game was a bit of a let down as I recall, sithi

    I think the cold may just have been an excuse. More like he didn't fancy a 150 mile round trip on a work night to a ZDS Cup tie! Can't say I really blame him!

    No it was absolutely bloody freezing. I travelled over from Hull and on the way back it looked like the Humber had frozen over.
