Wolves have signed Helder Costa for £13m. 8 figures for a championship player. He will have cost a fair few times more than our entire starting 11 tonight. And we sit 7th, as opposed to 18th (only 7 points above relegation zone). And owners and fans alike of 'massives' cannot comprehend that you don't always have to obsessively throw money around. I'm not doubting he's a good player (I'd have him in our squad), and he may prove the difference in tonight's game, but doesn't it make you proud to know that our club has come this far on peanuts with the game being so money-obsessed. I hope these new signings continue the trend. In Hecky and Patrick, it seems we can trust. Whilst the football world is losing its head, may we continue under the radar going about our very intelligent, sensible strategy. It's a nice thought this transfer deadline day.
Aren't you a City fan? They're as guilty as anyone in world football of propagating this. No mark club paying obscene fees...
What gave you that impression? But I agree, they seem to be the ones, along with Chelski, that started the ball rolling.
Two EastStandLowers, there's only two EastStandLowers . . . The other one is the City fan. Do keep up. I've not been here for months and even I twigged that one.
And not only have they splashed that on one Portuguese player, they also bought another for £7 million in the summer. £20 million pounds on two foreign players. In the Championship. Not making them any better than the likes of Burton Albion. Makes your eyes water just thinking about it. It really, REALLY is time that some of these money-ed idiots got caught out with massive bankruptcies. Once one of them goes to the wall a few others will follow. I hope that in ten years time the football club map looks a lot different to how it does now. We'll still be here though, no doubt about that.
Wolves are spending above there means yeah they got billionare owners but out of all they signed only costa is worth it 13 mill no but wages probably tonight hopefully red army show that money is fck all hard work n belief is all we need .. they can tear apart the team but we buy we sell we go again #byheckywetrust
And Villa just spent 12m on Hogan! Really starting to put our recent exploits into perspective. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If Villa don't get into the playoffs now, there'll be big questions asked. Not that I'm expecting them to.
