From Scum journo: Told Wigan have put in a 750k bid plus 250k add-ons for Omar Bogle. Barnsley looking to go in for him too #wafc#tykes#gtfc
Obviously we can only judge from Youtube goals, which isn't necessarily a good thing. That said he looks like he's got a lot to his game. Both feet, likes beating players, strong, pacey, good in the air, can take pens and free kicks, scores inside and outside the box. Plus he's only 23. Additionally he's nothing like any other striker we have. I dont think, if we rate him, we should be put off by the £1m fee. Yes, it is a lot of money (would be up there with our top fees paid), but if the club thinks he's got more potential then that fee might look like a good deal.
agreed! and by the apparent large amount of interest seen during the window, it seems other clubs rate him highly too

This with rice crispies on the top. People keep saying it's a gamble. Probably the same people moaning about the amount of loanees we have. We've got to take some gambles. I think this lads worth gambling on. He is unproven at this level, but his record speaks volumes. Winnall was equally as unproven at this level. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Spot on mate, Bogle seems to have more variety to his game that winnall too, not taking anything away from Sam who was great for us but Bogle just is taller, quicker, stronger and both footed. Certainly worth the risk
We're not interested in Bogle why are people still going on about him. He got 13 goals in the conference last season and hes had a good half a season in league 2. Way too big a risk with the money they're asking for. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
"Samuel has found himself down the pecking order at the Royals recently, leading to the club considering sending him out on loan" We soon won't still be able to field a team with all these loans.
