Thrown it all away, for the sake of a few bob and it is a few bob from all accounts. Wouldn't mind if we had replaced them with permanents, but bloody hell, a few kids ain't going to get the job done. I really don't understand the thinking, really don't. Very disappointed with the transfer dealings but all credit to remaining players for getting the results they have. Fear for the rest of the season now though. Others will disagree, fine, but its split the fan base that's for sure.
The problem was always the length of contracts.. Which was poor management. But still cant see the point in bringing in another 15 year old winger... but it was a small fee, so there's probably my answer..
The departures were necessary and I'll defend them to the end, but chuff me, I expected some new lads in. Perfect time to bed them in for next season, a chance to have a settled summer and we play silly buggers. I expected us to be raiding the lower leagues for players whose contracts end in June. Aaron Pierre and all that lot. At least get some warm bodies in who are our own players.
1. Accept the departures but to leave an already thin squad even weaker is a very poor performance by the Board.
