I'm talking to fans here- Oakwell tonight was a like a morgue from start to finish.

All well and good sat there in misery and silence not backing this wonderful team but just remember where we were 12 months sin.

Get behind at Oakwell for ****s sake !

 

Agree it was quiet. Away games are best for atmosphere. Usually is lately.

 

Just remember why we were there 12 months sin, we had an absolutely abysmal transfer window in the summer of 2015, we ended up with 6 loan players coming in towards the end of the window, because we couldn't get permanent deals over the line, when we've got £15M in the kitty and we've aloud this to happen again surely you can understand why people are gutted, I'm honestly devastated I've not felt as bad as this about Barnsley FC since Altrincham in cup, and it's not because I can see the club crumbling and that it's obvious we're going to be in the ***** again pretty soon, it's because we've got the best team and Manager/Head coach we've had in 20 years, for once we have something that deserved backing big time by the club. Instead we sold three of our best players, and brought in two loan players who are not match sharp and a kid who as been playing for Yeovil, Mowatt is a quality signing but we needed another 6 at the same standard.

 

The club has given up. Why shouldn't the fans?

Why are you assuming that we have £15M in the transfer kitty? The club probably owe the owner more than that, and it could have been used to clear those debts or (more likely) provide a fund to keep it running for the future.

 

Well I honestly can't say because I know very little about them I also knew very little about Hourihane & Winnall when we signed them as for Bree I liked him but didn't rave over him, Leeds fans seem to rave over Mowett and are surprised they let him go. Only time will tell, if I'm being honest I'm probably a little underwhelmed with this transfer window as I was when we signed Conor but I'm quite happy to trust in the club and not think they have "given up"

 

PC writes off the money he gives to the club.
