Omar Bogle seemed to split op opinion but I'd have like to have took a chance on him but I'm guessing we were priced out.

with how much we have made in last few seasons and the fact he played for Grimsby (wages wont have been high) we should not have been priced out of that move surely.

    Massive obsession with Omar Bogle.

He got less goals than Stefan Payne last season.

But has tonnes more this season, I was really hoping we got him (or any striker for that matter)

Was he realistic though considering the number of clubs interested and the alleged asking price?

We were always unlikely to fork out over a million for a player with 6 months football league experience and we all know that we'd probably be struggling to compete with Wigan, Forest and Leeds on the wages front too.

Priced out of an unproven player that potentially isn't as good as ANY of our forwards we currently have. Stefan Payne leaving seems a strange one to me but then I don't see him in training so what do I know?

Yes but we didn't want him.

Payne could have scored tonnes more if he was playing in League 2.

once those clubs were involved it was obvious we could not be even if we wanted to be.

Yes and we'll also see how Bogle does in the Championship.

Bogle went up with a team he was promoted with which usually helps.

Like we saw with Winnall at Barnsley.

Maybe true but i'm just concerned as to why we have not brought someone else in then who is a similar player to bogle as i think that is what we are lacking, we need a big physical striker to offer something different, bradshaw and armstrong are great players but neither are what I would describe as powerhouses

We haven't had a power house up front all season and we're 8th.

Unless you count Marley, who still plays for us.

True, but we needed another striker and in my opinion it would have been a good option to have one, I think its better to have a number of different options opposed to lots of strikers that are too similar

The lad we've signed is 6 ft 3 and plays out wide or upfront.

I think we have signed him for next season in all honesty given where he has been and what is record is like.

did not realise he was 6'3 as I have never personally seen much about the lad, if thats the case then thats a positive, from looking at him hardly looks a power house type player but if he is tall then he might be good in the air but just because a player is fairly tall doesnt always mean they are great in the air but hopefully this lad does well and scores plenty

hopefully he is a good player, will be interesting to see if he is used mainly as a winger or a striker though
