Just some people are phrasing it in different ways to others! There is still every chance Armstrong, Bradshaw, Watkins and Hedges (if played up front) will turn out to be good enough, but of course it wasn't ideal not to get another one
I haven't made anything up. I read hundreds and hundreds of fan opinions. Your views aren't that of those I referred to. I wasn't aiming to polarise anything though nor cause arguments. Not at all. I merely read through fan opinions as usual following the events of yesterday and felt I'd put over my own opinion as a Reds supporter. It's rare I find the time or opportunity to do so these days, but that's all it was. Just one more opinion from a fellow supporter, mate, No offence was intended. Within the context of my post I felt the reference to Mr Cryne's illness was relevant. We have secured the Club's financial future. He will not be here forever. But I get your point and I put my hands up a bit there. The flag thing was a terrific show of support and unity. We recently lost Rimmo and again the strength of our fanbase as one was keenly felt. But that's kind of my point. Hoping for perspective. Whilst it is disappointing that we'll continually lose our best players which will see us having to rebuild every year, whilst it's **** that we couldn't get the striker in we wanted, it shouldn't be overlooked just how well we have done in recent times.
No I'm questioning your right to an opinion or to discussion it's just annoying when people make their opinion and try to spin it as fact. As for your source on Watkins, I was told by someone inside the club that Morsy was going to sign for us the Saturday before he signed his new Wigan contract saying that he'd been into the club and it was literally just sorting out tiny details then Wigan must have offered him a new contract, just because it might have been the situation this window doesn't mean things won't change next window
Get that Whitey about the club hoping to get a particular striker in but it begs the question why let another one leave if we hadn't secured a replacement.
That made for good reading did that Mr Whitey! You know i'm a doom mongerer, but just look who i sit next to every game, so cut me some slack!
what a load of BALLAX..... do you not realise that most on here play FOOTBALL MANAGER FIFA 2016 and other such *****, they will tell you that they can do it no worries. So you are talking BALLAX. Listen to the keyboard managers FFs they are the future. Now seriously that is a fantastic post Whitey, the best one YOU have ever posted. I do disagree on one small point, that's about spending just a little to get a striker. I am not asking for millions but surely there musta been one out there for us. But I will be more than happy if the club sit on the cash and do some better deals in the summer. The January window is always a farce that brings over inflated transfer deals both prices and wages. We can still make the play-offs IMHO but at the start of the season I would have taken a top half finish all day long and maybe even a top 16 finish. I really believe we will be better than just top 16 and will even venture we will be in the top 10. That will be a huge achievement and one to be proud of. But hey like you I know nowt in comparison to the keyboard managers ....and they know who they are.
That £13 million Wolves spent on one player is pretty much our transfer income from Mawson, Stones, Bree and Hourihane. Income that secures the club and will probably support 'sensible' recruitment and retention for next season, along with the next tranche of TV money. Puts it into context somewhat. I was quite impressed with us second half yesterday, I think the majority were, given the applause at full time. 10 men did more than compete and with a bit more confidence to have a shot (Williams), and better finishing (Hammill) we could have realistically got something from the game, which looked absolutely impossible at half time. Not a great performance, but heads were kept up, and some spirit there to be seen. Roll on Saturday.
