Spoken like a true Tory. If you think people in Barnsley only vote Labour simply because Tories shut pits back in the 8os you are truly deluded.
Clearly, your comprehension and analytical skills are not the best. Although you excel at sarcasm. We voted in a general we are selecting a person to look at the facts and make a decision on our behalf. Remember, the embarrassing TV coverage filmed I In town after the referendum vote. For example I voted to ban the Muslims.
Met her on. Several. Occasions. I'm. Instinctively suspicious of any labour politicians. However, Ive found to be nothing but professional
I'm not saying it shouldn't be respected, but as an MP she might have access to information that we don't have. This might be security marked so that we can't see for a period of up to 100 years. She will also have spoken to colleagues in the House and her constituents and should make her decision accordingly. She has been elected to represent *all* her constituents. As an example, if 1,000 people in Penistone vote for something in a referendum that could mean that the other 500 residents that voted against will lose their job, should she vote with the majority or with the minority? These are made up figures, but she might have access to predictions showing that kind of effect in a worse-case scenario - I certainly would if I was in her position. That is the situation that she and a lot of other MPs are in - including our PM (who is from a remain constituency). If they vote for it, and it goes bad there will be a backlash, and if they vote against it they risk strategic voting against them in the next election.
In a professional. Capacity. I once met Frank dobson mp. Now he was obnoxious. Also had the unfortunate. Experience of meeting John Prescott
They didn't force our council to decimate the local services to such an extent that it is having a devasting effect on the NHS.
The Prat of a PM comes from a constituency that voted 56% to Remain. She could (it is unlikely) find herself one of the the first sitting PMs to not win election to Parliament.
If Angela Smith had been a Tory and done exactly the same thing, This thread would not have even existed.
It may have escaped your attention that we have a labour council. We by there own admission went for the vulnerable first
The history books do not tell us this at all . The utter total devastation of the German nation in WW2 , The rebuilding of West Germany by American capital , and enforcement of a democratic western model by the Allies prevented Germany rising as a threat . The Germans in the West weren't allowed to build more than an airgun unless it was under Nato control , backed by the hundreds of thousands of troops , tanks and aircraft occupying German soil . In the East they were purely an arm of the Warsaw Pact under Russian control , almost 50 years after WW2 , the Russians alone had over a quarter of a million troops stationed in the DDR.
Workers rights in this country are appalling... If being in the EU was good for the working man and not for the elite... WE WOULD NOT BE IN IT..
Well surely if your elected official goes against its constituents wishes then her position is untenable even though she only abstained, her position is clear
'tory attacks' , 'labour havnt done much either'...this is echoed all across the former industrial areas and the reason why ukip have done as well as they have and will probably carry on doing too, by the way scoff if you think angela smith has access to anything other than whats readily available then i think you are mistaken, all the predictions are there and if any further armegeddon figures were out there then the remain camp would be plastering them about on every lampost.
