Yet people liked his ideas enough to vote him in. I personally think he's an oaf that won't do the majority of the things he's said even if he wanted to, as there are a hundred hoops to jump through, however, he did get fairly voted in through the bizarre American process that they've used historically. Similar to the brexit vote where the voting process was stipulated before the thing began, one side won fairly and the other side didn't, again fairly. Whether I liked the results or not is completely irrelevant as are my views on another countries voting system.

Can't see it getting much support

in Barnsley, one of the biggest brexit voting towns in the UK where most voted out because of immigration.

Too much of this ****** in society...ie..I don't agree with your opinion, therefore I shall march on downing st and through the streets of Barnsley or wherever just to cause an annoyance to the general public trying to go about their days...

When challenged as to why they don't voice their opinion through the ballet box, the answer is 'Oh we did but nobody listened and voted the opposite way'.

This applies to both right and left wing elements of society. I'm sure the town centre businesses will be thrilled when shoppers etc piss off to Meadowhell cos they don't want the aggro of avoiding some pointless march in Barnsley..

So do you agree with Conservative rule in the UK despite them getting less than 37% of the popular vote? Or that 1 MILLION people voted Green and only got 1 MP? Or that UKIP got 12% and got ZERO MPs? Just because the rules are set out in a certain way, that they are right or that we shouldn't try to reform them.

    Theresa May has NO MANDATE.
    Cameron had NO MANDATE.
The UK has NEVER had a government voted for by the majority of it's electorate since the 2nd World War.

It's not my protest, mate. But I think it's the compassionate left maintaining a stance on a major global issue and sending a message to their own government that we are not prepared to allow them to pander to such people, whatever their position. I was on the major W Bush rally in London in 2005. This reminds me of that, but i think the provincial pockets are just as important as the capital.

I was having a chat about protest with Mk not making the Trump/Hitler comparison myself though many do including some prominent Jewish organisations. At this stage I neither agree or disagree with it. There's some evidence that Hitler was part Jewish so any family stuff is pretty irrelevant to an adult discussion.

Aren't people protesting a policy of Trump's I.e his probably illegal stance on Muslims not the outcome of the election or am I being obtuse?

That's because people can't be bothered, they won the election on a majority of those that turned up. If you don't vote you haven't a voice , but those are the rules before you start the game. Change em before you vote not after

The poster certainly says the protest is about Trump's racism. We'll see. But the manifesto he got elected on was clearly racist so until he deviates from this I still think the protest is pointless.
However, to save you getting carpal tunnel trouble, and to confirm your previous diagnosis, I submit :)

NO they won the election on 37% of those that turned up.

I'll repeat, 37% of the votes cast. No government since the War has got 50% of the votes cast at an election.

Why should one person's vote matter less than another's?
