A game type we've struggled season. It's hard for the team that type of game.

PNE pleased with what they got. Slowing the game down at every opportunity and going through a set plan.

People will come on here and make excuses and mentioned the players we've lost. It's the type of game we'd struggle to beat in November or whatever.

New players, thought they looked okay. Jones looks comfortable and he's a player that i'd expect will be here next season.
Elder. Thought he got forward well, just needs to improve the distribution and crossing at times. Think he'll be okay.
Matty James. Looked better than last week. With Scowen? Not for me. Think i'd go Scowen wide right and Mowatt and James in the centre like we did at St Andrews.

Tough games to come but Heckingbottoms got what we pretty much wanted.

Not going next week but will be at Villa on the 14th.

If heckingbittom has got what you wanted then why were you slagging him off 8 hours ago?

    He got what he wanted.

I'm a fan that travels up and down the land, I don't have to agree with him.

He's got what who wanted? You just said that he's got what you wanted.

And yes we all know that you have tickets bought for you up and down the country. Well done you

Why do you think that? Especially considering that HE said that the club didn't sign the players he wanted

You aren't a fan though are you?

You're someone that uses the states money to watch a team play, and then slag that team off because they aren't champions of Europe.

Fan is derived from the word fanatical. If you're a "fan" of Barnsley then I struggle to see how you can be so extremely critical of perhaps the most successful season in nearly 20 years.

    You're definitely not a supporter.

If fan was short for fantasist then I think we'd be getting somewhere.

He isn't a Barnsley supporter. He's a football fan who happens to have tickets for Barnsley purchased for him. He could just as easily find himself sat watching any other team

As a Barnsley fan talking about Barnsley, shouldn't your thread title say "us" not "Barnsley"? You made yourself sound like a neutral.

Neutral? He's not even that, he's against us. He doesn't like our players nor does he like the manager.

And he obviously dislikes the town too. He has mentioned several times when praising people that they are from West Yorkshire and when criticising players he has pointed out that they are from Barnsley.

Got to look at the team quite cold. Far too many on here look at things like they have any control what goes on the pitch. Support the team between 3 and 5 but I will not make not make excuses. No rose tinted glasses.

All you get from some is blame anything other than the ones making the decisions and affecting how the team play. This obsession with some at blameing the ref is very strange to me. He doesn't make our players play badly. He didn't make our defender kick the ball at there player in the first 5 seconds did he.

I sit next to someone that seems to want to blame them for everything. He doesn't understand there can be a player go down and it not be a foul.

Sorry, is this some bizarre alternative reality?? Let me get that again; you would move Scowen wide right?? After the superb performance he gave today in the middle?? The one where he tackled ferociously, broke down play, hassled and harried, passed the ball well, drew free kicks?? That performance, yeah? Just wanted to check.

    It's called passion.

It's called being a fan. Being fanatical.

If you want to watch football and be cold then you're going to lose any enjoyment from 90 minutes of entertainment.

Being irrational is passion. Being overly protective is love.

Most people have passion and love for Barnsley. It's what makes us fans. And idiots. And gives us the moments of extreme pleasure than really can only come from years of misery.

Suggest reading John Keates ode to melancholy. Sums it up perfectly.

You obviously saw a different game to the one I didn't see. I followed the game by live text on the BBC website while sitting on a train in Germany. Obviously the bloke operating the live text machine was at a different game to you.
