Ladies and gentlemen. I genuinely think Hemsy has a challenger to his crown. Surely there can be only one???!
And if it wasn't for Pompey signing a load of players they couldn't afford they'd have been a lot worse off points wise than the 10 they lost. They also got the points took off early in the season so the gap was massive. If we'd have been under any real threat we would've used the loan market. Sorry but the whole 'we'd have gone down if Portsmouth didn't lose 10 points' argument always winds me up
We were never on for the Champship play offs, and Im surprised that fans are being harsh about this. I set my sights low (realistic), and avoiding the drop this season was what I hoped for. Yes we need about 5 more points to be sure of this, but we have proved a lot of people wrong this season and I love it when we keep doing that
Survival was always the main aim at the start of the season. But we found ourselves in a very good position, a position that doesn't come around all that often for a club of our stature, so one would have thought that we would take the bull by the horns and go for it, show a bit of resolve and try and defy the odds. Of course mathematically it can still be done, but without our key ingredients, it's going to be a hell of a lot more difficult. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Opinion. Opinion opinion opinion. Yes, you have a right to your opinion. But, conversely, if you chose to share that publicly (which you did, unprovoked), then other people may comment on your opinion. So please don't tell people not to comment (or 'keep it zipped') on your freely shared opinion (which you did), when you don't like them disagreeing with your opinion. That's sort of how free speech works. In my opinion.
Yes we were we were one win away from potentially being in the play offs. It's a defeatist attitude if anyone thought before we sold our best players that we didn't stand a chance of going up. It's also disrespectful to everyone at the club who had worked so hard to get us in that position in the first place. I don't think the players were overachieving and higher than they should be. We've had so many years of garbage that the expectation levels of many fans is far too low with having a small time mentality.
9th in Championship, best position we've been in since 2000 and some fans still not happy. Yes, we've lost our best player we've had since Higgy but we are a selling club and have been for years, if we have a billionaire as owner we could keep our best players but as of now we average 13k a season and can't compete with the likes of Newcastle etc
Not at all, it was just my opinion of yesterday's game, you thought we were 'outstanding' and you're entitled to that opinion but obviously our views are completely opposite. I'm disappointed with our Janaury transfer dealings and worried about what could potentially happen in the summer but it is what is now! We just have to deal with it and move on! I feel sorry for Hecky and his coaching team who are doing an outstanding job in difficult circumstances but can't see us being anywhere near the play offs come May.
