Not long since we were watching Dawson, Wiseman, Kennedy, McNulty, Perkins, Mellis. All in the same team. Man up.
I always liked Perkins, and don't think Dawson was half A bad aplayer as some make out. Both these two worked their socks off every game. The others were simply rubbish.
This ridiculous attitude is growing tiresome. People are angry because we voluntarily traded away a great chance at the play offs not because of the current state of the team. In another 4-5 games when our impotant attack leads to us dropping like a lead weight down the league I'll remind you all of this. Again. I'm not cross at the team we have I'm cross the club chose to leave the squad as it is. Inexcusible. The team you name above was the best we could get and I supported it to the end, gaining a reputation as a happy clapper as I did when johnson took us on a losing streak. The difference this time is that the club have chosen to put the fans in the position of having to support total lack of ambition and short sightedness and I'll be just as angry at them when the rest of the people they let get out of contract leave in the summer.
Too man people are looking at this glass as been half empty. We need to become really Careful and ensure itsit does not become a self fulfilling prophesy
Pessimism and the objective fact that the club allowed our best assets to leave half way through the season without adequate replacements for a quick buck are 2 incredibly different things.
Where have they shown a lack of ambition. How when filling along term strategy can we be short sighted. We are the envy of most of the division at the moment and this Blackpool Syndrome been displayed by some fans could undermine it
What should we do then. Pay Conor 28k a week, and Sam £18k a week. I'm guessing you're not stupid, but you know it's not going to happen. If we'd have payed the money for Bogle and he doesn't score for rest of the season, folk would be crying about wasted money. I use ja606 a forum for all fans, Huddersfield are dreading playing us and still think we will make the play offs. Yet ours are looking at 4th bottom.
How can you possibly judge that these Players aren't adequate replacements on such few games ? We've had three games without them, W1 D1 L1 it wasn't that long ago loads of fans baying for Connor to be dropped cos he was idle and couldn't pass . Yours and others advocation to gamble everything on playoffs jeopardising the clubs strategy is tha kfully imo being ignored . The strategy the club have adapted is working brilliantly imo and I'm sure if there was a realistic chance of promo to the prem the chairman would look favourably to achieve it, he is a fan
But the thing is that we may not have gotmin the play-offs with all our star players. We still have a chance now. We might have fallen down the league with Hourihane and Winnall in the side. It's not long since those players led us on a run of 7 points in 11 games
Is it just me, but I'm getting the feeling that some fans are actually secretly hoping we fall down the league so that they can be proved right?
It wasn't the club that changed the squad, it was the players who chose to leave that did it. Once they decide they want to go, there's no stopping them. That's the way it works, accept it.
