    Talking to my Panathanikos supporting Greek friend he says that Luke is a very good shot stopper but his kicking and dominating his penalty area are suspect.He also said the fans love him because he is brave and English.

    The Panathanikos fans have it right. Good shotstopper but other aspects of his game not good. Davies is better overall and he still has room to improve. Steele will not improve.

    Steele's kicking was the worst Ove ever seen from a pro keeper. If he didnt have spoons for boots he wouldve been up there with the best Tarn keepers for me.

    I'd not want him and Davies in the same squad. The fact Davies doesn't have any decent competition hasn't affected his performances and for what Steele would want as an understudy keeper the money would be better spent elsewhere in the team.

    If wages weren't an issue I couldn't think of a better mentor for davo.

    Shot stopping wise Steele was capable on his day of Worldy performances but his distribution and tendency to be rooted to his line is why he didn't get snapped up by a premier league team. Loved him, he was as good as we could ever have expected to get at the time.

    Davo is probably better overall, certainly potentially so, but townsend is no competition. And also a downright liability if called upon.
