To get into play offs ,75 points usually gets you in 6th place, so 10 wins or 9 wins 3 draws or 8 wins and 6 draws, basically it's going to take a great run of form, come on you reds we can do it again
If we still had Mawson, Winnall, Hourihane and Bree I reckon we'd have made the play offs. Too many main assets sold in too short space of time.
Can't be arsed to argue with the Neggy Noras about it, but to be in that position just shows how good the team is and how well the club as a whole is doing at the moment.
I don't want to sound negative but I think a top half finish is the more realistic scenario I hope I'm wrong and this brilliant young team and manager push us to the playoffs unfortunately I think the January window has hindered our impetus.
Just not looking over our shoulder at a relegation battle suits me this season - it's been a long time since that last happened in this division.
Reading away 1 point Villa away 1 point Brighton home 3 points Hudds home 1 point Derby away 0 points (weststandbogs doing walk, great cause ,well done, but we havent won yet when he done one ) QPR away 1 point Ipswich home 3 points Norwich away 1 point Sheff w home 3 points Cardiff home 3 points Blackburn away 1 point Wigan away 1 point Brentford home 3 points Bristol C away 3 points Burton home 3 points Newcastle away 1 point (they will be champions ,wont be bothered) #boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooom play offs # #youreds #
Not wanting to be a kill joy but only 1 defeat between now and the end of the season is a bit optimistic I think - also we never ever get owt at QPR so we wont get a point there either Being realistic we are currently averaging exactly 1.5 points per game - if we continue that to the end of the season and finish on 69 points I will think the season has been a great sucess Playing with statistics the Fowls in 6th place if they maintain their current ppg ratio will finish with 77 points so we are going to have to have a purple patch to catch them. - For us to get to 77 points we need to go at over 2 points per game for the rest of the season. Its possible of course - we did similar last year, but I think realistically it will be out of reach this time round, unless other sides drop off and we need a few less points. Our run in has a lot of winnable games though so if we can get 10 more points before the Fowls game it could still be on. More than 10 points in the next 8 games and its definitely still possible
I like the optimism but not a cat in hells chance of Playoffs I'm afraid. Team settling period ahead and a hopefully a mid table finish. That's the more realistic outcome for us now.
Watched the Preston highlights again last night, and despite the doom and gloom and disappointment of losing players, and not winning against Preston and wolves at home, we actually played ok. I was frustrated at the match, but in hindsight, and with the benefit of those highlights we were decent, against decent opponents that probably haven't had to adjust to losing players. After this last 12 months, nothing would surprise me with these lads, although I do think scoring could now hinder us. Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk
Hecky should be manager of season fantastic achievement whatever happens in last 16 games behind Wigan and Burton last season nothing to lose.
