It's a weird one, doing far better than we expected this season and feel bad moaning but could have been much better, fully believe we'd be only be a point from the play-offs without that shambles of a transfer window.
Someone once told me that there's 90 minutes in a football match. He must have been wrong. Sent from space using satellites and things
Conor and Winnall? Didn't realise that it was 4-a-side in the Championship these days I do get your point though. It is hard when reflecting on what might have been. I don't blame BFC for this situation just the financial situation in modern football with FFP and a toothless FA and FL more interested in Murdoch's pieces of silver, parachute payments and foreign owners. Like people say, we would have been happy to be top ten at this point in the season last August. Shows how far we have come that we are disappointed not to be in a position to challenge for the playoffs. We wiln some and we lose some but Huddersfield could be within 2 points of the top of the Championship tonight if Newcastle score stays the same and Brighton lose or draw.
Faur enough but did Bree figure all that much. We are losing to a side that has been consistently top 3 or 4 this season and playing really well. last week we had to play Brighton also consistently top 3 . I would be worried and depressed if we were played off the park by the bottom half dozen teams but we have had a few decent results since January. Look at Newcastle, 0-2 down at home against Bristol City ! Bloody Bristol City !!!!!
OK so apart from Alfie, Winnall, Bree, Morsey and Hourihane ...."what did the Romans ever do for us do for us?"
This is what happens? What, you go one nil down to the most in form team on the league? Ffs. Why can't we just support the team and back the club? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
And that will be 1-1. If we hadn't sold 'half the team' presumably we'd be winning 9-0 or something? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
When will some on here accept that Barnsley are one of the better teams in the Championship even though we are operating at a financial disadvantage? Team spirit, motivation, fitness, tactical awareness, pace and discipline all count above teams with a few more skillful players and it shows in our league position. It is after all a team game where the whole can be greater than the sum of the parts.
Yes, we are, and it's to the immense credit of all concerned, but that doesn't mean that the board couldn't have done a better job in supporting the manager in the last window. And to be fair, we've been battered today - albeit by an excellent side.
Sounds (at least from the live reporting on the BBC that we are finishing the stronger and the stats seem to bear that out after an abysmal first half (stats wise) I am not there so defer to those that are. Not sure the management can be blamed in the current climate. What else could they have done? let-s see what happens in summer.
With all respect - I'll not be able to understand this view point in a thousand years. It's like saying: My Euro Millions numbers came out last week........is was £100 MILLION jackpot. But I forgot to invest in a ticket. Never mind, stop moaning, I'm still in same old house, we move on.
Yeah and yours is like expecting to win every time you buy one ticket whilst others can afford loads of tickets
Are you saying we didn't try to sign a striker? Maybe we should just have bought one anyway regardless of cost or ability. I want a Ferrari. I can't afford the front wheel but f**k it I'll buy one anyway. After all, what could possibly go wrong?
