Agree with you fella. How they can claim he was a 'homer' is beyond belief! I guess they've got that arrogance about them with being 3rd in the league and expect every single decision to go their way!

He didn't give a penalty for the blatant trip on Kent. He booked Adam Davies after he was fouled and then squared upto. He should have dealt with Hefele better near then end when all of a sudden he's better and able to jog back to position with pace and no ill affect. So yes I have to agree the ref was rubbish.

They have a point about Watkins as he did a few fouls in no time at all and got spoken to more than once. Made a change to see one of ours getting away with abit and not being booked.

Watching him down the east stand touchline their lads were kicking lumps out of Marley in the first half. He gave a bit back bit received a lot more.

When you break up play by fouling the opposition every time they try to get on the front foot, you can't blame the referee.

I was with two town fans after the game and even they agreed that some of their bookings were needless.

I know they're supposed to, but I don't think that they fully check the background of referees before assigning them to a game.

There was one in the premier league a few weeks ago, I can't remember which referee it was, but he had to be removed from officiating a Palace game 45 minutes before kick off because someone realised that he used to be in their academy.

Played some decent footall Huddersfield but dirtiest team I've seen in a long time. Mooy could get a game for Huddersfield giants and was lucky to see out the 90mins. The only thing the ref got wrong was the pen we should have had.

To be honest, I thought they were a decent side, but the ref was by far their best performer.

There was the potential penalty on Kent. Which looks more of a penalty from the replays than it did at the time (mind I was 90 yards away from it).

There's the blatant foul on MacDonald when we had to clear the ball off the line.

Aaron Mooy was booked for his first foul, and then did 3 worse tackles throughout the game without further punishment. One of them wasn't even given as a foul.

There was the incident on Adam Davies that Davies incredibly got booked for.

The foul given when we were attacking a corner because the wind changed, yet from our very next corner, their lad was holding MacDonald to the floor and he gave nothing.

And don't get me started on that bizarre decision where he waved their player up off the floor from 5 yards away, only to award a foul based on the say so of his lino 3 times the distance away. Ironically their fans shouted "you don't know what you're doing" at that one, and he'd ruled in their favour.

Disagree, brown should. Have gone and the kid you strangled Kent too.

Also if he genuinely didn't think it was a pen then he should. Have booked kent

They were on the end of so many decisions because a key part of their game was committing cynical fouls every time it looked like we might transition from defence to attack. Teams increasingly doing this now because of how much our game depends on counter attack - but they were particularly cynical.

I did think Watkins should have been booked when he pulled back their defender who'd gone past him but apart from that I didn't see any major decisions that went against them.

On the other side we could have had two penalties. The one on Kent (bit far away for me to see properly) and then one from a corner where our player was wrestled to the ground. I was deliberately watching that rather than the ball and it was as clear a foul as you could see. Ridiculous how the ref was desperate to find any attacking foul but missed that.

The referee was a disgrace and made 3 game deciding decisions in their favour

I've got around to reading the comments on their forum. Aparently the referee was bad because he booked more of their players than ours and Watkins should have been booked.

That appears to be it. Hardly match deciding stuff that is it? They fail to mention that 2 of their players made more yellow card tackles than the rest of the players on the field put together and remained on the pitch.

He's been involved in games that have an impact on the promotion chance of his big local team far too many times if you look at the current top six.......

    http://www.soccerbase.com/referees/referee.sd?referee_id=1256

Brighton: Reffed just one of their games which they beat us 2-0 at their ground.
Newcastle: In charge of one of their games which they lost 2-0 and had a player sent off. Another in which they drew 2-2 so one point from six.
Huddersfield: Just reffed them yesterday where they only drew 1-1 with us.
Leeds: Not been in charge of any game.
Reading: Drew 1-1 with Derby. Beat Brizzle as most do 2-1.
Sheffield Wednesday: One match beating rock bottom Millers by one goal.

So he's reffed his local club once which they won. The record with the other five in the top six is.......

    Played: 6
Won: 2 (rock bottom Rotherham and other strugglers Brizzle)
    Drawn: 3
    Lost: 1
    Points: 9/18

I'm shocked it's allowed. I don't see them allowing Newcastle United matches to be reffed by Mark Clattenburg.
