Time to send him back to Liverpool, offers nothing going forward and leaves full back wide open. I know he's only a young lad and learning but not seeing any improvement from him. Start Hammill and put Hedges on bench and get him ready for next season.
Bit harsh. He was our only threat till we realised we'd picked the wrong formation and took Mowatt off for Bradshaw.
A poor player. And I hate players we chicken out of 50 50s. I don't see the point in keeping him or playing him.
I agree. Nothing against him as such but in Hammil and Williams we have two better players who are actually contracted to the club. I'd rather they saw the season out.
I think he's got the potential, but I think it's potential that'll take more than twelve months to unearth. He reminds me a bit of Dan Crowley - talented, but looks like he's too used to playing in the less physical youth teams. He gives away the ball too much. Yesterday he dropped his shoulder, cut inside brilliantly, then ran straight into somebody and gave the ball away. I don't think I've seen him put a cross in yet. I'd like to see Williams given a couple of games in the team, if he can manage it.
I don't think we will make the play offs, but even so, I think we have 2 players in Williams and Hammill who are more effective.
The idea we are still going for the play-offs sounds like PR spin to mask the disappointment of losing so many good players. We are not in the hunt and have not been since we dismantled our main attacking threat. That's not a criticism of the manager. But you can only work with what you have got and in Hecky's own words, we are starting again. This is a mid-table jobby tops with a massive rebuild coming up.
I'd be quite happy to see those two lads given an extended run in the team as our wide men, with Marley Watkins and Tom Bradshaw as our two strikers. If we make a concerted push for the Play Offs, excellent. Were we to fail, at least it wouldn't be through the want of trying and we can look towards building the foundations for a squad rebuild in the Summer and going again next season. Under our Head Coach, anything is possible.
Weve gotas good a chance. As we had last season remember been ridiculed. On here for saying we'd go up. . To say we are playing out the season.is an insult to the players and questioning the integrity of the whole football. Club I believe. We will go out and give 100 %on every game
Also given his injury problems and his ability it seems fair to give Williams a shot at earning a new contract by giving him the games to see how he does rather than a player who isn't ours and almost certainly won't be. There's also a chance we will win the Champions league the season after next. It's slim but it is possible.
Ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous That's an insult to everyone. Of our players and our management team too
He has potential but is not doing it this season and can't see him coming on loan next season. Jones was left exposed on numerous occasions when he (Kent) went forward and lost the ball . Time to try another system or at least another body preferably a full member of the club.
I don't consider. It an unreasonable achievement for us to reach the playoffs. And to suggest we just play out the season is an insult to those lads who give. 100%every game
I'd give 100% every game I doubt I'd shoot us into the play offs. Always seems a strange compliment to me. Saying that someone is trying to do the job they are paid to do. Why is that a compliment? The end of the season will be a Mel Machinesque end of season stroll. It's nowt to get het up about. The sharks circled and picked off our better players. It happens in fact it's what we did to get those players in the first place. The important thing is to get to summer with our morale and spirit intact which we look more than capable of doing then look to regroup and move forwards.
We still have our better players I genuinely believe that that we will go out to win every game I genuinely believe to say that. Those 11 going out wearing our shirt are going out for an end of season stroll. Is seriously. Questioning the integrity of the players and management.
