In an effort to stop some of the continued issues that we were having with VBulletin software we made a snap decision to transfer over The BBS over to XenForo which is much more modern and performant forum software. It is a bit different and it has a been a very quick a dirty move.

The biggest difference is the lack of a threaded view but that is what was causing some of the performance issues for VB and there are very few fully threaded forums available now.

The theme is just one I picked and can easily be tweaked or changed. Please let me have your feedback here and we'll see what we can do to make changes.

Tapatalk and Forum Runner are both supported and the mobile view is really good now so you might decide you don't need to use either of these.

Anyway, let me know your thoughts, feedback and questions below.

Looks ok to me, will have a better look round later but seems to work fine on my mobile.

This is a lot better, make a Derby away match thread sticky at the top, let's see if we truly are in the 21st century

I've had to change my password, is this the same for everyone else?

Oh, and for some reason, it appears I'm now only able to post in my wife's name and not mine?

Will this be the only view then? I used Hybrid on the old version.

I think so although I just read something about threaded view so need to look into that more.

I sort of like it. It's cleaner.

I am retired and you know what old folk are like. We like things how they used to be best, that is threaded view. However, this is my first post, so we will see how it looks before I go off in a huff. You never know, it might be great.

Well. That's the way it goes I guess. It's up to you in the end Gally. Over the years it's always been the threaded view that has made this board so usable for me. I could see instantly who had replied to who and gave me a quick idea of threads and whether I wanted to be bothered reading them or just parts of them. Not being a Luddite. Just think that some functionality is lost for me. COYR.

    Well.

I have a choice to make now.

Tapatalk which I've just got used to again.

And now mobile view. Which looks seriously good.

At the minute I really do like the new mobile view :spray:

It looks OK, so I thought that I would give it another go. Just testing!

It does look as though it might be harder to keep track of long conversations, with lots of replies and sub conversations going off in various directions without threaded view. It does look better though.
