I'm not sure if it's because I'm on my phone and it could potentially be different but it seems fine to me.

I can only ask for your patience on this matter. We will assess this and a number of other online services post-season.

    Cheers.

I thinks its brill and very easy to read personally, so if changes are to be made, please do not go for the Club 18 - 30 brochure or comics styles cos they are very difficult to read for us owd uns.

Personally, White on black is a lot easier to read for me.

We understand that. We can't just go about altering something based on one or two opinions. I think the summer will see us assess a number of services and all being well we'll make more people happier than not.

    Cheers.

Interestingly, increasingly more UIs are moving to 'dark mode'. That blue light from white screens, fcuks your eyes up..

I can't think of what other colour could possibly be easier to read than white on a black back ground

I've not noticed any difficulty, but as eyesight deteriorates with age, especially if you develop a condition called Astigmatism (affects around half the population eventually) there is evidence that suggests white text on black background is harder to read as the blurring caused by the eye defect is exaggerated. I guess italics, as indicated by @Skryptic in the original post adds to this effect.

As an older chap who learnt his computing skills in the era of VT100 screens connected to PDP-11s (google it), I find light green on a dark green/black background particularly comforting....

    Something like this.

I should have mentioned that my eyesight isn't the best, but with glasses I don't have a problem with most websites. Oddly enough I don't have the same issue reading the mobile site. Cheers for the reply though.

+1 on this - ive raised the issue before.

After reading a page on official site i cant hardly ready anything else for 10 mins till my eyes recover. Look at a white background for an axample - its full of lines burned into your eyeball. Its horrid. I sometimes go to the trouble of injecting a new style into the page to make the background grey and the font black. Makes a massive difference.
