obviously we're going to be rebuilding in the summer, so here's my take on who we'll sign. Brad Potts - Blackpool Scott Kashket - Wycombe Sam Hughes - Chester Conor Mahoney - Blackburn Gethin Jones - Everton I think any standout strikers in that league (like Ollie Watkins) will cost too much now. Thoughts?
If we sign gethin Jones it would be an extremely poor decision IMO. He is playing now because we have no option but he isn't performing anywhere near well enough to be signed.
What about Jon Taylor from Rotherham? Decent winger to replace Kent when he goes back. Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk
I wonder whether we'll go back in for the young lad at St. Mirren, who we were supposed to be after in January?
Wages seemed to be the issue in January and nothing has changed. Wigan may be willing to get him off the wage bill if they are relegated, but would he be willing to take a pay cut? I doubt it.
It wouldn't surprise me if we did. I think our policy will be to go for players when their value is low. The moment a player starts hitting the headlines it'll make them difficult to sign. That's why the likes of Bogle, Morsy and Brownhill (regardless of everything else) are unlikely to ever return. They're simply earning way too much.
Personally think we'll already be working on the Brownhill transfer. Little Lee has made him a scapegoat to their poor run lately. Although when he brought him in from the cold he was one of the only bright spots in their dismal team. He's now not even in their squad. Josh made a mistake. His heart isn't in Bristol. It's in Barnsley. Think he will come back in the summer and far surpass the player we saw when he was here before. This summer is going to be pivitol. Think we need 5 or 6 permenant signings if Watkins and Josh to go elsewhere. 4or 5 if they stay. Then hopefully 3 or 4 class loan signings. Imagine we'll be a first choice destination for any top premiership talent.
Thought he signed a new contract at Wigan? I found that to be puzzling on their part, since they obviously wanted him off the wage bill. Instead, they compounded the situation, and might still be relegated. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Big gamble wasn't it? Can't see them spending beyond this season. They've bought their days in the sun, and now gong back to living within their means. Will be a shock to some of their bandwagon fans, which will probably be most of them, but welcome back to the real world eh? Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk
Bradshaw I think is an exception. We have plenty of money from transfer fees so I wouldn't be surprised to see us splash out on a slightly more polished rough diamond.
What is people's obsession with omar bogle. He isnt proven at this level he had half a good season in league 2 be interesting to see how he fares in league one with wigan next season... morsey won't come here when wigan are paying him more. Only way brownhill will come is if bristol want shut.
