I don't gamble, however I will buy you a pint. If I'm wrong Just out of interest which of the games. Don't you think we are capable of winning
No one is saying we aren't CAPABLE of winning any of them, just that if defies the laws of sense to claim we will win 9 out of 12 when we have won 3 in the last 12. For example, I could wake up tomorrow a nice bloke but it ain't going to happen.
Bench on saturday: Townsend - Yes he's cack Jackson - Bit prone to the odd mental flubb but other than that a more than competent CB Elder - Was baba at Villa 1st half but other than that not really had much playing time or done ought wrong, can't judge him yet Moncur - Until he was dropped has settled nicely into midfield and gives us some options Mowatt - Still abit of the pace, but he's more than capable in this league of being a very good CM Kent - Hit and miss, can change a game sometimes, others he's useless Lee - At most we've seen him for maybe 45 minutes this season, some fans perceive him as weighing two tonnes and being useless but other than that has anyone really seen him Yeah it's no where near the best bench in the world, and in the grand scheme of things it is relatively poor compared to the top sides in this league, but I'd much rather have our bench which has helped get us to 11th in the league on a pittance than someone like Villa's who cost many many millions and their still only 13th and are 5 points behind us. La la la la la la
I'm going to bother as I live for nowt else than wasting my life on here I mean options that can change a game or give us something different. Not one on there as far as I can see. It's also a bit much to claim any of them barring the largely disappointing Kent have had any effect on league position. Villa will finish above us I think. No shame in that given their relative resources.
Villa have had 3 wins, 2 at home against abject teams, and a win away at an even more abject team, doesn't mean there going to finish above us, just means that they have won 3 games in a row and the gap isn't as big as it used to be. Fair enough they might not have all contributed to the league position but that just makes your other point even sillier because your judging them before they've even had the chance to impact anything.
I look at the lack of options and feel terribly sorry for Hecky. I've no idea why we signed Lee and I might not have seen much of him but the way I see it is that if Hecky thought he was any good he'd have figured more. Mowatt and Moncur, who knows what they will be like with some graft put into them and hard work by them in the summer. But here and now they are both lacking. I'm not really referring to Jackson or the other two. Although I think Jackson is a weak defender.
We could play Real Madrid and beat them 90 nil with Adam Davies scoring 60 goals. It is possible but unlikely. But I will take the pint from you. Our team is significantly weaker than it was a couple of months ago. We may very well regroup in the summer but for now we are struggling as the form guide would show you. No home wins in 2 months for example including a home defeat against Blackpool does not suggest that we will suddenly hit that sort of form
The likelihood of your analogy isn't very good. I keep. Going over the same ground here with our team we are more capable. Of achieving the results I have said and those results would even facilitate us the benefits of some margin for error Now who was it I had the same debate with this time last season
So you don't think it's possible for us to beat Real Madrid? Wheres your faith. You'll be saying next that Tom Bradshaw isn't going to win European Golden Boot with 356 goals. Madness.
Why not? I think we can. I'm providing just as much information to back up my blind faith as you are.
The league table. Our results. And our performances indicate the we are more than capable of beating anyone in this division You clearly disagree with that
slightly inaccurate, I'm providing the football league championship as my evidence. Basic analysis. Of that table indicates we can beat anyone in this division
We didn't win at home for nearly four months between the victory over Rotherham in August and Norwich in December when Conor, Sam & James were playing regularly. We also lost at home to Northampton in the League Cup. Still, these days optimism and having a feel good approach on the BBS about our club are not wanted and seem to be treat with condescending derision & contempt. It appears only pessimism (laughingly passed off as realism) is acceptable, as any other viewpoint is sneeringly shot down as not understanding our situation, or being blind to it. Not only that, but it's in every post and on every thread with some.
There's optimism and down right lunacy. If that's negativity dressed as realism, so be it. I'm not holding anyone in contempt, just rather people didn't make outlandish claims with no basis in reality. Still, that can be passed off as optimism.
No it doesn't. It says there are 10 teams better. We've only beaten one of the top 6 for example haven't we?
Put your negativity and apply. However you want to. It actually says we need 23 points to hit the average amount. Needed to get on the playoffs You are saying we are incapable off which is a massive insult to everyone employed. By Barnsley football club....
Is it ****. I'm saying we won't get 23 points from a possible 36. It's how is see it. I'm not upset by it. It is what it is. I don't see how it's insulting when it is based on our form as it stands. No idea what "put your negativity and apply. However you want to." actually means.
