The first Championship club who made me an offer - I'd take it. I might even take an ambitious League One club. I think he is feeling a bit dejected because he knows that he can never take BFC any further. Will be a shame to lose a great manager but I wouldn't blame him one bit.
Genuine question Conan. What do think we should do to make sure Hecky doesn't move on. We can't offered to pay all our players £10k plus wages. If you could set up a meeting with Patrick what you say to him on how the club would be better run? This isn't me having a go pal I'm genuinely interested?
I think it's badly run both on and off the field. This year will be our biggest ever with regards to turnover but we are allowing contracts to run down, players to leave for less than they are worth, commercial activities have not improved, the ground is a tip, 13% of it is condemned and so on. If I could have a meeting with Cryne I would say either find a buyer or appoint a proper football administrator and give him carte blanche, remove yourself from decision making and get rid of CB Taylor.
Not saying I agree with all Conan's points but we are crying out for a proper administrator with devolved powers. Someone to sort out the poverty of our marketing and to move forwards on contracts. Someone who has the auhority to make important financial decisions that won't be overridden.
No at your ignorance, stupidity but more importantly your total lack of respect towards the owners and custodians of our great football club
I think Conan should put his money up and take ownership of bfc as he clearly knows better than the experienced and successful business men
Heckingbottom will be managing in the Premier League soon. Like he's gonna jump ship on the team he supports to join a League 1 club. The support he got from the board was shameful during the January transfer window and can totally understand why he would be pissed off. I'm furious but I have my job to go to on Monday morning and don't see the players / Oakwell until the following Saturday. He's got to live and breathe it. It also doesn't help when you've got no Chief Executive with contracts running out and players to sign in the summer.
He would do a much better job than our current CE........oh wait, we haven't got one! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
But a ceo only does the same job as Michael Spinks. Did and he made the transition from outspoken supporter to that position
At that time we had a much more hands on, at least in a football sense, Chairman. So the CEO role today is a mixture of Spinks' and Dennis's roles
