He's a young kid with fuckall help in front of him.

    Don't think it
    He's ******* awful.

Made to look worse by clown in front of him not helping out.

Agree with that. Kent is a waste of a shirt.

I'm saying that, that does not excuse Elder from winning balls that were in his favour as led to their second.

This is the problem with playing young lads at this level. You can get away with it further down the chain but here they will get destroyed, especially at full back position. I hate writing people off but the balance of the side seems all wrong at the moment. If Elder had a fit and firing Hammill in front of him he would look a different proposition. Looking up and seeing Billy Casper (aka Ryan Kent) doesn't fill him with any confidence, does it?

We've seen a couple of genuinely classy bits from Kent this season but, overall it's been a failed experiment and I can't see us pursuing it. The lad is just too frail to make a top footballer. Maybe as time goes by he will develop some guile and speed to make up for that but, right now, he's not good enough for us.

I think that actually it was when Hammill came on, and also QPR took off Wszolek who was making mincemeat of him. With Hammill giving their right side something to worry about and no decent right sided attacking option for QPR of course Elder looked better, he didnt actually have to do anything so he couldnt do it wrong

    That second goal was infuriating.

Their player overran the ball with Elder at least a yard in front of him, and he still beat him to the loose ball and put the ball in for the goal. Really poor.

Agree that he's got no help in front though. Kent offered next to nothing attacking or defensively last night. Hamill to start on Saturday please.

It struck me that Elder looked in that moment like a player afraid of injury

Perhaps bring kicked in the air early doors upset him

Useless was definitely accurate though he did improve when Kent went off.
