Does anyone on here think that having the ability to build a successful IT system for NHS and make money from it automatically means you are good at running a sports club?

That logic is like saying that because Mr C has a

No, but Mr C is the only one that stepped forward to do it, and as of now has quite a bit of success in his Cv, and that's in football, not running his Isoft business.

As I said, any millionaires on here? crack on and buy into the club at board level if so. I'm sure Patrick would consider offers if in the club's best interest.

It's ok working for someone else and picking a wage up every week, or not even working in some cases, and making judgements on things we can only guess about.

Business is tough mate. It's easy for us all to judge. Far too easy.

Some areas of it are yes but many areas are not. Patrick cryne has admitted exactly that to me in the past and my respect for him went up because of it.

My thoughts exactly - the customer interface that iSoft had is a world away from the interface that Barnsley Football Club requires. Not only that but the product you're selling is different. iSoft's IT software, quite rightly, would be expected to give the same results time after time. That's unrealistic in a sport where human frailties are exposed.

Who are these customers the club refer to in the club charter ;)

    http://barnsleyfccommunity.co.uk/assets/uploads/2016/07/Customer-Charter-2016-18th.pdf

Realistically the change from football clubs being institutions to businesses means that Fans are seen as customers by many clubs. Customers don't necessarily have to be fans though just like with any business. As can be seen in this thread, clubs should probably avoid calling fans customers (if they have any sense!)

They can call me what they want, except Bernard. I wouldn't want to be called Bernard.
