Its bad for my blood pressure on here when we lose. I would class myself as a realist and certainly not a happy clapper but some of the doom mongers are beyond belief. Alright some are wind up merchants but we have a great 12 months but then at the first sign of adversity the comments from some are beyond belief and the usual suspects are already weighing in!
Do you not think that the anger at the decisions made in January are justified? I'm still waiting for somebody to have the moral decency to explain to season ticket holders with financial contracts with the club why the CEO up and left without a word.
Nah. Think we made potentially £10m we wouldn't have had in the summer. Stupidity would have to gamble £10m and still miss out on playoffs. Risdale probably would have risked it, and probably spent a few more million like a few on here wanted. That worked out well. Before our current owner saved this club from liquidation.
Same here. The negativity just does my head in. I'd just like to remember this season as the great achievement it is. There will be plenty of struggles ahead, Folks who are determined to see the worst here and now. I'm out.
There is always an immediate rush to blame. Hopefully posters will see things in perspective in a day or two. i wish though we could see things in something other than grey on this site. It's like being 1-0 down before logging in!
straight after 2 players left after their contracts with OUR club had allegedly been sorted. I wonder what the guy responsible for sorting the contracts is doing now and if he got a glowing reference........................................ gunman and grassy knoll spring to mind
It's how i understand it but I'm more than happy to be corrected. I was under the impression that peter held shares in trust for Patrick cryne much like Gordon shepherd did and now a Manchester based accountant does but i could be wrong.
Interesting opinion. Makes you wonder why some fans don't trust PC. He's the man who has saved this club, and has made us even remotely competitive over the last 10+ years. Article on old Petey; http://www.barnsley-mad.co.uk/news/...k_cryne_and_peter_ridsdale_194885/index.shtml
It wasn't an opinion, it was how i understood the situation to have been at the time. It is hard Hough when there was so much cloak and daggers going on at the time regarding club ownership and rival club AFC Barnsley etc
Just do what I do and only go on every now and then and post when absolutely pissed paraletic. It's more fun
