...are enjoying their couple of million quid, because its certainly torn the heart out of this football team.

Season ticket renewal forms will be out in the next couple of weeks. Our form since January seems unlikely to bring newcomers on board and a few folk might see this as an ideal opportunity to bail out. The lack of a CEO impacted on us in January and the longer it drags on it might have ramifications for recruitment for next season.

Shock horror we have just lost to a team who were in the prem last season who signed pritchard alone for 8 million. I admit form is a worry and confidence in the camp must be low.

It's this attitude that drags this club down, lack of ambition, lack of criticism when it's needed in order for things to get better.
We beat Norwich at home, we were much the better side.
Just because we have a poor record at Carrow road in the PAST we are expected to accept it if we lose, it's those records that we should be striving to break in order to move forward.

As for the "board" it's about time we found investment or sell up, and yes I know it's easier said than done, but unless we aren't going to show any ambition then something needs to change.

Murdered at home you having a laugh? Norwich had a nightmare 1st half and we did batter them 1st half but 2nd half it was backs to the wall stuff we hardly had a kick.

Erm, don't really agree with the first part of your reply as we loved villa and they've spent the most of anyone this season and in january, 70 million plus wasn't it and they've just come down.
Bottom line, we sold our souls and better players in January when we were more than a match for most in this league and had more than a decent chance of the playoffs.

We didn't need to sell, for the first time in god knows how many seasons, we didn't need to sell, we had money in for stones, holgate and mawson.

The fault lies firmly with the folk at the top who see a few quid in the short term as a better bet than the tens of millions and a truly successful football club should we have shown a tad more ambition.

Same old Barnsley corner shop mentality is firmly back on show, piss poor by all running BFC this season I'm afraid.

Yes I agree we didn't have to sell but sam winnall had already started pushing for a move before the window opened. How do we keep players who can earn 4x their salary somewhere else and no longer wont to play for us?

How much is "a few quid"?

We took £10m for 3 players. That's near on a years turnover....

I get no one wanted to see Hourihane or Winnall go. But they wanted to go. And would have gone for zero in summer.

It is a shame. But rather we have another tilt at the championship next summer. With a few extra million to replace players that would have gone for nothing.

Bottom line for me is had they sulked and had transfers rejected then they would be nailing their own footballing coffin lids on as who'd have wanted em had their form dropped after january? nubdi is the answer so in that respect they would have had to keep up their form/performances for the sake of their own future careers. They are professional footballers paid to entertain at the end of the day and are only as good as the form they show.

And will that be spent on the pitch? will it fook and you, me and everyone else knows it. A tiny amount of the estimated 10 mill you think we've received although id wager its much lower, will be spunked on other clubs players in loan wages to 'bring them on' next season and we'll be scouring the lower leagues looking for freebies and miracles once again. 'sigh'

They could have just said I'm not playing until you sell me look at patent at West ham. Players have more say than clubs nowadays and contracts mean very little if a player wants to leave he will go.

We aren't west ham and we aren't in the premier league, but they would've been in breach of contract in that case as they were still contracted till the summer. That wouldn't have happened imho.

Exactly if it's happening at the highest level course it will happen below that. If a player doesn't want to put the shirt on no more let them go I've seen enough players here who don't care these past few years. Especially in Sam's case he didn't want to play for us anymore didn't want to wear the shirt. When he did he was great for us but we can't force him to stay if he had out about him he would have thought I could stay here see my contract out and get barnsley in those play offs.... he wanted 18k a week at wednesday.

Well if we continue to show constant lack of ambition given the opportunity we were presented with this season then we may as well just sell up and be done with it all surely to god! whats the point eh? this season is precisely why i only attend the odd game now, i just can't do with the constant let down that this club consistantly shows at this level, i'm truly amazed at the plethora of happy clappers who blindly accept the clubs old tricks season on season and make excuses for BFCs lack of ambition, its a bit special thats for sure! lol
