On not signing a striker in January "there was no one there who i was expecting to come in"

On having his players sold in January "you can't do that and expect to carry on where you left off"

I will be very surprised if Hecky is still here come the turn of 2018.

Unless of course things change and the board wake up and show a bit of ambition.

We don't really have a board though do we. We have a part time chairman who has his fingers in more pies than Mary berry, Barry taylor and an owner.
January was disastrous and has seen the undoing of a lot of hard work but while i am angry at that for obvious reasons I will say one thing and that is that we have to remember that that owner must be forgiven for taking his eye off the ball and dropping an absolute bollock.

While it is annoying to me and you and while it may have at the time seemed obvious what was needed i think we can all agree that Patrick had far bigger things to worry about than a football club.

From a football fan point of view i would hate to see heckingbottom leave but from a human point of view I would trade heckingbottom and the entire football club for the life of Patrick cryne. I disagree with many of the decisions he's made as Barnsley owner but let's not forget that he is a person and if him fighting cancer meant that he wasn't giving 100% of his time to bfc this past year then so be it. I'd rather be in league 1 with Patrick cocking up than in the championship with his family in mourning.
