In a perfect world I'd like to think the season isn't over and that we can still affect other teams.

Also, that we might be looking to finish with a flourish, finish as high and with as many points as possible and keep our fans interested and renewing tickets.

Trouble is we can't hit a cows arse with a barn door.

Plenty of effort today, and we made chances but we wouldn't have scored if we were still playing.

    Great away support though.

We lost to a better team. We lacked creativity and goal scoring instinct. We are reeling from January and it will be a big job in the summer. We really need to pull together to avoid a Keef style slump as it could carry on into next season.

    Onwards and upwards

I can't shake the thought that we might be next season's Rotherham. There's too much rebuilding to do all at once.

That is the most likely scenario. Throwing in players at the deep end which we will be forced to do won't work, not the amount of players we need anyway.
Players should have been snapped up in January, our players should not have been sold, and the new players should have been integrated into the squad ready for next season when our players will have ran their contracts down, and rightly so.
Instead we signed a load of loanees, who won't be here next season, and the couple of players we did sign aren't getting much game time.

    And if we lose Hecky.......

So we shouldn't have sold the players we did in January and let them go for nothing but we should also have bought their replacements? Who's going to pay for all that ?

We would still have a transfer budget without the sales of our best players and if ever there was a time to take a considered gamble and speculate a little then that was in January. We did exactly the opposite.

But they did gamble and speculate, but not in the way you would have preferred. They have gambled that Mowatt and the loanees etc will help the club progress. Only time will tell. Don't think the club had much option to sell cos when a player wishes to leave there is very little you can do to stop it.
