The money made will be used to make up for the lack of forward thinking we have off the pitch, so unfortunately it won't be used to strengthen the squad.
GREEDY !!! You are totally missing the point. The club had to sell those players. And I'm surprised that they didn't sell 3 or 4 more. They had to because nearly ALL the first team contracts are up this summer. So the point is - how the hell fire has the directors got the club in such a state that nearly all the 1st team players could be cherry picked during mid season ??? And to add to the misery not one of the directors has apologised to the fans. PS - to my knowledge Jay didn't say a word about any of this when the team was blatantly been torn apart in January. Then again many more fans just didn't understand what the implications were in January.
i;ve been told by someone at the club that he did,and no it wasnt a burger seller or steward that told me.
He didn't because we got more than 500k for him. Plus add ons that we won't get because they won't get promoted. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Is there any possibility Dek that the club would like us, the customers, to believe that, giving them an `our hands were tied' reasoning for selling to one of our most despised teams and fellow play off candidates is in their interest.
Its just down to who you believe then, your mate at the club or the agent.. If the story's don't match then someone is being economical with the truth..
we should be fighting for the playoffs. Wednesday are slipping,. no one seems to want that 6th place. Could so easily have been ours. but we settled for peanuts
That 6th spot was always up for grabs and it could have been us had the "board" shown a bit of ambition for a change. We must be the only club ever to do what we did in January when we were in touching distance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The sad thing about this season is all I'll remember it for is 'what might have been?'. With a Wednesday side who always find a way to balls it up, a Leeds side who are never far from a crisis with Cellino & 2 sides in Huddersfield & Reading who play at a high intensity & might not be able to keep it up it was always likely that one or more of them would have a bad stumble & it's proving to be the case with Wednesday. I do believe we could've done it & but the annoying thing is I'll never know
A bit over the top mate. It's only a bad run of results when we've not played too bad at all, seen it before and we'll see it again. We'll probably beat the Wendies and go on an unbeaten run to the end of the season. Why not?
Unless we somehow draw 0-0 every game, we're not gonna go on an unbeaten run until the end of the season. We haven't got a goal in us.
