Didn't he go evens for the Forest job too? I reckon they'll go for a more household name. Pardew, Hodgson, etc
He was evens for forest job too. I doubt he would go and desert the club he has supported scince he was 5 year old with all that is happening behind the scenes at the minute, not to mention up rooting to the other end of the country! Hope not anyway.
Guts of the team gone, more to follow in May. No CEO. Team already in relegation form. Who can blame him?
Look, it wont be the end of the world if he does go will it. I certainly dont want him to, but we will carry on as a team whether hes here or not.
It makes sense for me in many ways. But I can't help thinking and indeed hoping that Noriwch would want a bigger name to appease supporters. They've gone down the young manager route with Alex Neil and it tends to be a lurch into the opposite direction desired by the bigger clubs when something fails. We're lucky that Hecky is a local lad and a Barnsley fan but it shouldn't be taken for granted. He has a career to think about as well.
I think he was 'shafted' and had the rug pulled from under him (and you can use any similar sort of phrase), with the player sales and the none replacements in January. But despite all that, his record since then isnt that good is it and it really concerns me for next season and beyond. I wish this season would end now and that Hecky can start rebuilding his/our team immediately, and that means getting rid of all loanees for a start!
He isn't one of our own if he goes now our ownet and life long supporter has just been diagnosed terminal and then he jumps ship thanks alot if true.
I dont think thats fair on Hecky though Redrum. Yes the timing is awful admittedly but if its the deal for him, then he cant afford to stay because of the Chairmans health. And thats not meant to be disrespective towards Patrick!
What we have to realise is that although Barnsley f.c takes an integral part in all our lives as supporters and we are stuck with it . It's different with players and coaches , even Hecky . Professionally he will want to test himself at an higher level . I don't think he's motivated by money like the snake was but, I bet the chance to manage Norwich will test his alegance .
