Did he? I don't remember that. I remember people bemoaning his lack of end product but not criticising his work rate and general contribution to the club
Isgrove got a little bit of stick early on but certainly not towards the end of the season once he had found his feet . Kent gets praise and critisism in equal measure from what I can see because he's so bloody frustrating. One match he's like Messi next match he's very messy.
In my opinion Ryan Williams has had more good games than Ryan Kent this season and in far fewer appearances too
Still at West Ham. You're right it is a gamble. They paid off last season and this season they haven't. Barring Morsy the loans have been disappointing. I'm not including James in that as he's clearly a good player and has worked to a degree but he's come in when the team has changed so much it's unfair to says he's not worked.
Yes. Isgrove was regularly referred to as not worth his place, a loanee who should go back. He came good towards the back end of the season.
In fairness, Arma's goals at Preston and Rotherham earned us 4 extra points, and Kent assisted one of them as well as scoring a crucial goal in a 3-2 Leeds win. But employment status or not, my opinion on loan players is well known.. We all prefer our own players. But needs must. You're talking millions and a fat salary for such as James. We can't find that in L2 trust me.
James is an exception. We can't afford players of his calibre, certainly not for long. See Conor. Two crucial goals there, yes. But far too few in all honesty, especially in Armstrong's case. Plus he's been a passenger for long periods as he has little or no graft in him. If there was anyone else I'd play them ahead of both now. Give Hedges game time. And Brown if he is fit.
Brown is injured otherwise he'd be in contention. Hedges looks good to me. Expect big things next season.
He's seemed good so far when I've seen him which is why I'd be playing him ahead of those two. Shame about Brown as it leaves little or no other options.
