So says Alan Nixon. It makes sense a move back home to Wales for him, but when we denied his transfer request and then spoke out about it didn't he say he wouldn't play for another championship side but premiership was a huge opportunity? If he goes there he must change his mind...
If you believe that he wouldn't go to another Championship club you're deluded. I like Watkins as a player but that interview was complete rubbish. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I doubt that will matter as much as the thickness of his weekly wad. Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk
It's all about the money. He will go wherever he gets the best offer. Sent from my iPhone using Barnsley FC BBS Fans Forum
I agree with you and he shouldn't have said it. Next season chances are he will be with another championship club and then him saying what he said will keep getting brought up. I get why he said it, it was to sweet talk the fanbase abit. But when (if) he doesn't follow through with it, fans opinions of him will change.
He'll never cut it in the premier league. Good, feisty, committed player, but hasn't the pace or the brain for the top flight. Lots of championship clubs will be in for him though. Good luck to the kid, he's served us well.
He's pretty quick, one of the quickest in our team. I don't think he'd be among the slowest wingers in the premier league, if that is indeed where he would play.
I disagree about his pace, I think that is his biggest asset, although I do not think he is premiership class
I think we'll see Marley in the championship next season. Not with us like. Whoever offers him the most I guess.
I thought he said he was alerted to Premier League interest, not that he wouldn't move to another Championship club. Sent from space using satellites and things
That's Robbo isn't it? So fast that Mike Dean was adamant he was already in the box when the ball hit his hand against L**ds.
He didn't say that though. He was referring to this January and said that he wouldn't have made a sideways move to a championship club because we were playing well and had a chance of promotion. By not strengthening we have removed that chance and have moved the goalposts somewhat. We are no longer a side playing well and aiming for promotion, we are a poor side siding down the league and that is a very different thing indeed.
