Yesterday my youngest son (23) was given the all-clear from Testicular Cancer. No need for chemo or radio therapy thankfully. Today is my birthday and this news is the best birthday present I've ever had. It has been a worrying time over the last couple of months to say the least.
That my friend is brilliant news. Please give your young lad my best wishes. And I can fully understand your relief at this very welcome news as I too experienced that same elation as my own son is also a cancer survivor. He had a cancerous growth which was attached to his heart and lungs removed. He was 17 at the time, he is now 32. Good luck for the future. Life is precious.
Brilliant news for him and you. It's terrible when your kids health is compromised and it's out of your own hands. Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk
Great news and happy birthday. It's a horrid thing just lost my grandad to it a couple of weeks ago can't imagine getting that news at 23.
Great news. TC.. bad enough at any age but 23?? Must be a great weight off your minds. Kids eh!! Always give you something to worry about.
I will, I'm volunteering at the Burton Beer Festival tonight, serving beer. Naturally you have to taste them all......
Yes, it was a massive shock to us all when he was diagnosed. He's a lovely lad, here's a picture of him a few years ago with Ian Hume at Oakwell, sadly he doesn't follow the Reds any more, he supports Atletico Madrid.
In the last 2 years, I lost my (ex) wife's step-dad (bowel cancer) and a good mate John (liver) and my brother survived kidney cancer, then this. It's about time they found a proper cure for it.
