Aye OK I have done all of that nevertheless it does not make the title of this thread correct it is annsults to the best managers we've had in those 50 years.
We should definitely have played the Newcastle united graduate and England under 20 player Adam James Armstrong up front? I don't understand how the head coach did anything else. You are Hemshite in disguise and i claim my five pounds.
Was it 4 5 1 today or 4 3 3? Or both depending on whether we had the ball or not? Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk
Get off your high horse. Why post something that was going to get responses if we're not worthy of a discussion with you.
Once again we're left regretting not taking our chances against the Fowls. There has to be a reason as to why we rarely beat this team, despite outplaying them in the majority of matches. Are they just lucky and we're unlucky ? Well no of course not, we can only use that excuse for so long and then eventually it gets boring. But they are more clinical, they take their chances and we dont. They sure as hell dont look like a play off challenging team but the reality is, is that they win matches and keep doing it every season.
& plenty of times Wednesday play with only one striker with Forestieri playing as the no. 10 behind. Some Barnsley fans are like dinosaurs at times, obsessed with 4-4-2, you play the system you think best suits your team & the team your up against.
That surely wont work long term though will it, constantly having to change your own formation to suit the opposition etc.. We should make the opposition think a bit more and worry about us, rather than having to change what we're good at because of them. Hecky's ideas are hard to understand at the moment, it looks like he still hasnt got a clue what the best formation and team is and this worries the hell out of me for next season.
We had the match to lose for a start. We didn't lose the match. We very nearly won it. A goalkeeping error cost us (from a keeper who has saved us a lot of points this season - it happens). We were the better team throughout. Wednesday did look poor, yes, but maybe that's because the way we set up made them look poor? All about opinions etc but Hecky spineless? No. He made the double sub and went with 2 up front. We got a deserved equaliser and a goal line clearance denied us all 3 points.
Playing a settled and organised 442 is what has got into and kept us in this division. Everyone knows their jobs and each others. Keep it simple.
I agree up to January but that side has gone. Half of the team has gone & we've only got 3 strikers & one of them is favoured out wide
Yes, terrible system this one up front, it only produced 13 attempts on goal, 6 on target (3 times what the fowls managed with 4-4-2), and as zebedee rightly says we should have won it, only a last gasp goal line clearance denying another Hammill wonder goal. Hecky played the formation he thought would suit the game and we should have scored twice in the first half using it, just unlucky for Bradders. A formation can always be changed if needed and Hecky is astute enough to know this, which is what he did. Fowls have been in the top 6 all season for a reason, and we made them look poor
Not that I agree with the original post but we quite literally never win when we play with one forward. As soon as the team was announced it looked negative and we only came to life after switching formations. As for making Wednesday kook average. They are probably the only club in the division on a worse run of form then us. They looked hesitant and poor throughout not because of the system we played but because they are.
