Are you freaking kidding me? You really have such little pride and esteem in your own club that you stick by a player even after he A. Forces his way out the day of rimmo's funeral B. Joins the odious arrogant club down the road & C. Scores in a sheff wed shirt and goads our fans? Get your priorities straight. I mean he was always a bit of a tw*t before he even left us. Most of his time here he was either in the refs ear, having a paddy at being subbed or having a go at our young players. Clear attitude problems but of course people kept quiet because he scored goals. Well I tell you what he's topped himself today. Doing that to the fans who's basically funded his wages for the past 2 & half years and showed him so much love & support, to the club that turned him from a League 2 Striker on 3k a week to a Championship striker on 28k a week, to the players who have been with him through match after match and helped him lift 2 trophies at Wembley. Disgraceful and despicable don't even cover it. Yes he got stick today but he knew what he was getting himself into. He deserves all the abuse he gets. I'd sooner shake hands with LJ, Brek Shea and Chris Morgan than that odious little lovely person.
It's all just a bit of panto in my opinion. We gave him stick, he gave it back he scored. All adds to the spectacle. Don't think pride or esteem comes into it personally. Sent from my SM-J510FN using Tapatalk
That reaction wasn't panto. It was ridiculously over the top. He was more pumped up by scoring against us than he ever was scoring for us. First class lovely person.
Not that bothered really. He isn't a Barnsley player any more. Bit rich the moaning little ***** who've been giving him hammer on twitter suddenly crying because he celebrates scoring a goal. If I was him, with a 10 year career, I would have gone for double my wage. And if I got absolute hammer for that and I had the chance to tell them all to get to **** I probably would too. Don't give it if you can't take it. Too many snowflakes on this board. I don't wish him well. I just don't give a ***** about him at all. Reckon we have a few better players lined up this summer any how.
I'm gutted to say I agree fully. I'd told my kids repeatedly 'Yes, he's a snake, but it was his goals that got us into this league, that got us this fixture', then he went and did THAT!! Think Adebayor, but times a thousand!!! I remember Tom Cairney in his Blackburn days, celebrating like a tw@t in front of our fans, and for that, despise him to this day. Judas Winnall is dead to me!!!
I've no sympathy for anything that happens to him now. At least if he'd not reacted then he could claim some sort of moral high ground but he went way over the top today. I think sooner or later a reds fan will drop on him out in Leeds or Sheffield & he'll probably get a good hiding because of what he's done today. I'm not advocating that but I've no sympathy for him when it does happens.
Sure you would have shown more loyalty if offered double or treble your salary. He helped us where we are today. Best striker we've had in a decade. We got a £million+ Instead of zero in summer. It's a game of football. He's had absolute dogs abuse and gave a bit back. Big deal. People getting upset about it? Princesses
Do you think he should have been booked and subsequently sent off? Remember that the rule states that his goal celebration MUST be dealt with by the issuing of a red card.
Yeah, perhaps a booking. I dunno. I like to see passion in football. If we signed a player and their fans were giving him ***** I'd love it for him to celebrate if he scored. Hate all this fake loyalty and kissing the badge ***** when they don't mean it. Winnall was paid to score goals for us. He did that very well. We agreed to sell him to another club who paid him a lot more. **** it. It's a game of football. Needs passion.
I think you are missing the point. He scored in front of his own fans, the Sheffield Wednesday fans. He turned his back on them and raced up the pitch deliberately to get at the Barnsley fans. That isn't celebrating a goal, it's being a ********.
Gives a ****? It's emotion. He has had a couple of months of **** and he ran back to his half celebrating. Seriously petal. Just move on. Not worth wilting over. If you're bothered by him just ignore him. He's a Sheffield Wednesday player celebrating a Sheffield Wednesday goal. Be disloyal if he didn't really.
Yeah he was being a dick. But football needs villains, it's all part of the entertainment. I think we'd have loved it if it was our player doing the same. People are acting like he's committed a crime. Sent from my SM-J510FN using Tapatalk
Bit dramatic, but yeah maybe he deserved a booking. I still like to see supporters and players giving each orher stick. Sent from my SM-J510FN using Tapatalk
Didn't we have a post a week or so back asking what kind of reception he would receive. Quite a few people, myself included, said the best thing was not to give him any grief because he would probably score and rub our noses in it. He was obviously bothered by the stick he got, hence his celebration, which in turn bothered us, hence were still talking about it. All fair in love and war. Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk
