2016 Was An Annus Mirabilis

    But it's been and gone and we need to move on.

    2017 has been an annus shitus and we need to take serious action or I think we are in real danger next season. We have extremely limited options to take us to the end of the season, but by the time the loanees go back and Watkins and Scowen's contracts expire, we will barely have a first eleven.

    We will have an ok keeper, two centre halves and a full back so we need at least one centre half and two full backs. Kpekwa is clearly not good enough so he might as well not even be considered.

    We will need to replace Scowen, Watkins, Kent and James. I'm far from convinced from what I have seen of Mowatt and Moncur so far. I thought Williams might get a new contract but that seems unlikely as he's disappeared unless he's injured again?

    The main problem we have is up front as we will only have one striker and I would say he's just about ok but he's unlikely to even get into double figures which is not enough. Payne is not good and after that what are we left with? Sod all really.

    We are going to need at least twelve players and I would say that due to the scale of recruitment required, it's going to be difficult to get it right.

    He must have hated going to wembly twice, winning a cup & gaining promotion. I can assume that only finnishing 6th in the league must be the main disapointment, yes it was a horrible year 2016 !

    Eleven...only seen us win on four of those occasions. Boo, hiss, sack everyone...Apart from that, my excuses begin with having a life with family and friends...you really should try it.

    So it's a different excuse this time? Ok. Don't most people go to matches with friends and/or family? I know I do. For many people going to the match is also an excuse for socialising and "having a life".

    Why don't you post summat different start a thread of your own instead of whining. Do something constructive. Give us 300 words on Julian Broddles Perm, or the correlation between Malcolm Shotton and the Hair Bear Bunch. Maybe write a tribute to the lost soul of Maceo Rigters. Or a strongly wordered letter of complaint to Daniel Nardello.

    Stimulate debate in another direction rather than criticise others.

    I'd probably say apart from a petty argument and a poor understanding of Latin this thread isn't exactly "stimulating debate" it's telling us for the 100th time we need to sign a few players next year

    I'd expect hecky to have noticed this and be doing something about it!
