If he offered to come back and play for us right now for Wages next to nothing. Would anyone have him back? For me it's a no after what he did yesterday
No, he'll be hated forever at Oakwell after Saturday. Might sound bad but after his celebration I was hoping one of our lads lunged in at him & his leg ended up liked Seamus Coleman's. That's how much I despise him now.
People would honestly turn away the first 20 goal a season striker for 20 years because he had a strop and over celebrated a goal? I never realised Barnsley fans were such absolute fannies.
He is more hated than chris morgan and ip never thought I'd see that. As for goalscorer he has scored 2 in 14 is it for wendsday now and one was a gift from adam davies.
I took his celebrations as a back handed compliment . He was so desperate to score against us that he almost had an aneurysm when he did. Loved the flying pig , loved the songs , proper match with a good atmosphere and that's what going to watch football should be all about . How many times have we been sat bored out of our minds against the likes of Port vale and Gillingham . And another thing , I know we all hate Wednesday for obvious reasons but when I looked across at them on 31 minutes , to a man they were all applauding . It's a footy match , it isn't life or death . Would I have him back .......probably !
I'm sorry but that's just daft to say he is more hated than someone who physically assaulted another player. I would have him back in a heartbeat. God knows who we will have in next year.
IMO, what he did on Saturday was a disgrace. I'm amazed we didn't have another physical assault on our hands, to be honest. Bobby absolutely nailed it on Player commentary. For a man like Bobby to say that, speaks volumes.
He guarantees you goals. He is still our leading scorer. As long as he doesn't commit any criminal acts we would be daft to turn him away in this imaginary scenario.
He has scored 2 scince January and one was a gift from adam davies. Conor hourihane gaurentees you goals if conor had been playing Saturday I'm pretty sure we would have made more use of all the free kicks we seemed to get in decent positions.
He guarantees goals when he receives good service, like he did from Hourihane. He's not exactly scored for fun since he left us, and he'd probably not be much better off in our current team. He's not the type of player to go and create something off his own back, without service he's not of much use.
"Disgrace. Disgrace. It's a disgraceful reaction from Sam Winnall. I'd like to be on the pitch right now. To run the full length of the pitch in front of the Barnsley fans, after being here 3 years...should have been booked for the celebration. I think things might get tasty for the next 10 minutes...I can see some of the lads, as I would if I was playing...are going after Winnall" Bailey: "They've got to keep their tempers haven't they"? Bobby: "Yeah, it's easier said than done"
Winnall scores goals in bursts he did with us and before us with Scunny. Lucky for us he had just come off a streak when we flogged him. He had similar dry patches with Conor in the team but also scored goals without his help. Say the 2 against Wallsall in the play off semi final. He is a traditional forward he plays best in a front 2 with someone to react off (as does Rhodes) you are right in saying that Wednesday lack the creativity to exploit this. I still think we have more than enough. A 20 goal a season forward is very rare. Our last one before Winnall was 1976. Just cos he's unpleasant doesn't mean you can ignore his qualities. It's daft to do so.
He was lucky and I was peed off myself, but it's absolutely nothing compared to fracturing someone's skull.
Occasions like this show you who has the club at heart and has respect for the fans - and who doesn't. We always knew Bobby was in the former category but this only strengthens it. Angus Mac seems like he's on his way there too!
